Pop Out Z Fold Card – Full of Charm Paper Pumpkin Alternate
Have you ever opened a card and had something magical pop out? That’s exactly what happens with this Pop Out Z Fold card I designed as one of my alternate ideas using the June “Full of Charm” Paper Pumpkin Kit from Stampin’ Up! It’s interactive, surprising, and just plain fun! When opened, it reveals the sweet sentiment: “Let’s Celebrate You.”
Whether you’re brand new to card making or have been crafting for years, this one’s a showstopper that’s easier to make than it looks. And yes—it does fold flat for easy mailing!
Why I Love This Card
I had so much fun creating this card. The interactive pop-up element makes it extra special, and the design feels classy and elevated thanks to the gold foil accents. I added a stitched circle using the Circle of Seasons Dies, which layers beautifully with the 2” Circle Punch for a polished look.
To coordinate with the kit’s floral theme, I used one of the floral die cuts as a focal point on the front. I also stamped a few background elements, coloring the floral stamp with Stampin’ Write Markers to get that soft, multi-toned effect in one impression. It’s a simple trick that gives the look of layered stamping—without the layers!
Mailing the Card
Good news! Even with the pop-out surprise inside, this card folds flat and fits perfectly in the standard-sized envelopesincluded with the Paper Pumpkin kit. No extra postage or special packaging needed—just stamp and send!
Repurposing Paper Pumpkin for New Designs
One of the reasons I love Paper Pumpkin kits so much is how versatile they are. For this card, I took elements from the Full of Charm kit and gave them a whole new life! Don’t be afraid to think outside the box with your kit pieces. A simple change of layout, texture, or color can give you a completely different vibe.
