Why I Love Repurposing Paper Pumpkin Kits
Paper Pumpkin kits are like treasure chests filled with crafting goodies! The Filled With Joy Kit inspired me to think outside the box and repurpose its elements to create something truly special. For this set of cards, I focused on reimagining the die-cut fabric from the stockings to add texture and depth. These small details make the cards pop and give them a polished, professional look.
Spotlight on the Cards
Pool Party Snowflake Card
One of my favorite creations from this set is the Pool Party snowflake card. Did you know that the “Christmas” die from the Peaceful Season Die Set pairs perfectly with the “Merry” die from the Merry Tags and More Paper Pumpkin Die Set? This match is a game changer!
I added delicate snowflakes, die-cut with the One of a Kind Dies and colored with Pool Party Stampin’ Blends, to coordinate with the soft, wintry hues of the card. The layering of these elements with the Deckled Rectangle Dies created a cohesive, dimensional look that I adore.
Shimmer Ombre Textured Fabric Tree Card
Next, let’s talk about the Shimmer Ombre Tree card. This design is all about texture and sparkle. The tree itself was crafted from fabric scraps included in the kit, giving it a soft, cozy feel.
To complete the look, I added a striped fabric bow, die-cut using the Peaceful Evergreens Die Set.
