Paper Pumpkin Alternate – Window Sill Card Tutorial
Today’s project is full of cozy farmhouse vibes! This handmade card features a sweet window sill scene filled with jars and pots of flowers. I love how the country theme comes together when pairing the new August 2025 Farmhouse Floral Paper Pumpkin Kit with the warm, rustic textures of the Country Woods Designer Series Paper. It’s the perfect blend of kits and designer paper to create something truly unique.
Repurposing Paper Pumpkin Pieces
One of my favorite things about Paper Pumpkin kits is the versatility. For this project, I repurposed pieces from the Farmhouse Floral kit instead of building the cards exactly as designed. By using the pre-printed jars and florals, I was able to give this card a beautiful, lived-in farmhouse look. Repurposing kits is such a fun way to stretch your supplies and explore new ideas.
Background with Country Woods DSP
The background sets the stage for this card. I chose the wood grain design from the Country Woods Designer Series Paper—it instantly adds warmth and depth, just like a real country cottage window. It’s amazing how the right paper can transform the whole feel of your card.
A Surprise Inside
Of course, I couldn’t leave the inside of the card plain! I stamped the adorable tea pot image from the bonus Friendly Florals Stamp Set (included free with the Farmhouse Floral kit). To bring it to life, I colored it using my Stampin’ Blends Markers. This little touch inside adds such a lovely surprise for the recipient when they open the card.
