Repurposed Arrow Fold Cards with the Mountain Majesties Paper Pumpkin Kit
Hey crafty friends!
I’m so excited to share a new handmade card tutorial with you—this one is perfect if you love making wow-worthy fun folds and enjoy giving new life to your Paper Pumpkin kits.
These Arrow Fold Cards were created using repurposed pieces from the May Paper Pumpkin Kit called Mountain Majesties. I love how these kits offer so much versatility, and this time, I decided to transform the scenic card fronts from the kit into striking backgrounds for these fun folds. If you’ve never tried an arrow fold before, don’t worry—it’s easier than it looks, and I’ve got full step-by-step instructions and a supply list for you below!
Why You’ll Love These Cards
The focal point of these cards is the gorgeous abstract mountain landscape from the Mountain Majesties kit. By cutting and reusing the printed card fronts, I was able to create a dramatic background that draws the eye and pairs beautifully with the Arrow Fold technique—talk about a built-in wow factor!
To bring the scene to life, I added a few elements from the Something for Everything Ephemera Pack—including the cowboy and the balloon. Quick tip: this ephemera pack is now on the Last Chance list and on sale for only $4.80—a great deal if you want to stock up!
Coloring with Stampin’ Blends
I used Stampin’ Blends Markers to add some personality and pop to the cowboy. One of the best things about these alcohol-based markers is how effortlessly they blend—and how easy they are to use, even if you’re new to card making.
I also used them to recolor the die-cut “celebrate” from the Saying Something Ephemera Pack, since the original color didn’t match my card’s palette. Problem solved with a quick custom color fix!
