Angled Gatefold Fun Fold Card with April’s Paper Pumpkin Kit

I’m so excited to share today’s card project with you—it’s a total showstopper and a great way to repurpose your April Ink Occasions Paper Pumpkin Kit. If you’re anything like me, you love finding new ways to stretch your supplies and create something completely fresh. This Angled Gatefold fun fold card is the perfect example of that!
Whether you’re brand new to card making or a seasoned paper crafter, this is a simple and elegant design you’ll love recreating. The best part? It looks fancy, but it’s beginner-friendly—and I’ve got a full tutorial to walk you through it.
What I Used to Create This Card
I started with the card fronts from the Paper Pumpkin kit, trimming them down to create that beautiful printed background. Then I layered everything onto Gold Foil cardstock for a luxe finish.
The sentiment? That came straight from the kit, too! I heat embossed the greeting in gold, which really ties it all together. As a final touch, I embellished the front using gold foil accents from the kit along with a few Brass Butterfliesfor extra sparkle and texture.

What About the Envelope?
I get this question a lot with fun fold cards, so here’s the scoop:
This Angled Gatefold card closes down to a standard size and fits perfectly in a medium Stampin’ Up! envelope. If you’re mailing it, you may want to have it hand-canceled at the post office, depending on how thick it is with the embellishments.
