Jazz up those stockings!
For today’s tutorial, I’m sharing creative ways to enhance the adorable gift stockings from the Filled with Joy Paper Pumpkin Kit. While the kit provides everything you need to make two stockings with tags following the included instructions, I took it up a notch by adding festive rosettes. These rosettes add dimension and charm, making your stockings even more delightful!
Why These Stockings are Perfect for Gifting
These stockings are versatile and can be used for various occasions:
- Gift Wrapping: Perfect for small presents, gift cards, or treats.
- Holiday Décor: Hang them on your tree, fireplace mantel, or add them to a festive centerpiece.
- Advent Calendar: Create a set of 24 mini stockings and fill them with small surprises.
- Hostess Gifts: Fill them with candies or tea bags and gift them as party favors.
Instructions for Rosettes

Cut the Pieces
- Use the Round We Go Dies to cut the rosette die twice.
- Cut two circles: one for the top and one for the bottom of the rosette.

Assemble the Rosette
- Attach the two rosette strips together using Stampin’ Seal+.
- Press the connected strips into a rosette shape, applying gentle pressure to flatten the folds.

Secure with Hot Glue
- Apply hot glue to one of the circles and press the rosette panel onto it.
- Add more hot glue to the top of the rosette and attach the second circle for stability.

Decorate the Rosette
- Use additional circle die cuts from the Round We Go Dies to embellish the rosette.
- Adhere these layers with adhesive or hot glue for a finished look.

Attach to Stockings
- Use hot glue to secure the rosettes onto the stockings. Position them as desired for a festive, dimensional effect.

Create die-cut rosettes and pinwheels in different sizes and colored paper, then layer them to add depth to your crafts.
