Create a Stunning Accordion Fun Fold Card with the Inked Expressions Paper Pumpkin Kit
Hello crafty friends!
I’m so excited to share today’s handmade card tutorial with you — it’s the very first of my April alternate projects for the Inked Occasions Paper Pumpkin kit! Paper Pumpkin is honestly my favorite piece of happy mail each month. I usually can’t resist — I drop everything the minute it arrives so I can dive in and create!
Today’s project is a beautiful Accordion Fun Fold Card that’s bursting with vibrant colors, rich gold foil accents, and a little extra sparkle to make it truly special.
About the Card:
The Inked Occasions kit came with these gorgeous pre-printed card bases featuring an inked alcohol background and delicate gold foiling. I cut apart the card bases to repurpose them as the backgrounds for this accordion fun fold design. To make those shimmering gold accents pop even more, I layered the panels over Gold Foil mats.
For the sentiment, I heat-embossed “Congratulations” in gold for an elegant finish and added a touch of flair with some Gold Open Weave Trim wrapped around the front flap. The result is a card that’s both bold and sophisticated — perfect for celebrating life’s big moments!
About the Fun Fold:
One thing I love about this fun fold style is that it folds flat and fits perfectly inside a standard medium-sized envelope — including the gorgeous matching envelopes that come with the Paper Pumpkin kit. It’s a showstopper when opened but super practical to mail!
