Daisy Daydream Side Step Card Tutorial
A Handmade Fun Fold Card using March’s Paper Pumpkin Kit
If you’re looking for a cheerful, dimensional card that brings smiles and springtime vibes, you’re going to love this Daisy Daydream Side Step Card! I created this beauty by repurposing pieces from the March Paper Pumpkin Kit and combining them with a few of my favorite dies from Stampin’ Up! It’s a stunning card design that looks complex but is surprisingly simple to make—perfect for crafters of all levels.
About This Card
This handmade card is a side step fun fold, which means the design creates a multi-dimensional display when it stands up, kind of like a mini paper garden! I love how this fold brings the daisies to life—it’s like they’re blooming right off the card.
To create the background, I repurposed the printed card bases from the March Daisy Daydream Paper Pumpkin Kit. The honeycomb pattern gives it that warm, sunshiny vibe and perfectly complements the bumblebee accent and florals.
The layered daisy die cuts came straight from the kit. I arranged them climbing up the side steps, almost like they’re growing wild in a flower bed. I also added a few extra stems using the Cheerful Daisies Dies, and that rustic wooden sign post? That’s cut from the Faith Collection Dies. Everything ties together so sweetly with the greeting: “Sweetest Birthday Wishes.”
How Do I Mail It?
Great question! Even though this card is full of dimension, it’s designed to fold flat and fit perfectly inside a standard Medium Stampin’ Up! envelope. Even better—the printed envelopes that come in the Paper Pumpkin Kit match the card design beautifully. It’s those extra touches that make handmade cards so special.
