TIME FOR CAKE ALTERNATES PART 2
I had such a blast making these gatefold fun fold cards by repurposing pieces from the August Time For Cake Paper Pumpkin Card Kit. It’s always so satisfying to take a kit and make something a little different, and I hope you’ll enjoy these alternate ideas as much as I did!
Inspiration Behind the Design
When I first opened the August Time For Cake Paper Pumpkin Kit, I was immediately drawn to the beautiful patterns and colors inside the envelopes. Instead of using the envelopes for mailing, I decided to cut them up and use the pretty printed patterns for the background on each of my gatefold fun fold cards. I love the idea of using every part of a kit, and those patterned insides were just too gorgeous to hide!
Adding a Personal Touch
One of my favorite parts of crafting is finding ways to add a personal touch to each card I make. For these gatefold cards, I took the Pretty in Pink ribbon from the kit and colored it with Moody Mauve Stampin’ Blends Markers. This was a simple but effective way to create a cohesive look that matched the Moody Mauve card base perfectly. The result is a beautifully coordinated card that feels both elegant and handmade.
