TIME FOR CAKE ALTERNATES PART 1
I am so excited to share the first card in my series of alternate ideas using the August Paper Pumpkin Kit! The moment my kit arrived, I couldn’t wait to dive in and start creating, and this frosted cake card is the result of that creative spark.
Shimmery Frosting You’ll Want to Eat!
One of the standout features of this card is the irresistibly shimmery frosting. Doesn’t it look good enough to eat? To achieve this effect, I used Shimmer Emboss Paste, which adds just the right amount of sparkle and texture, making the cake truly come to life. For a touch of whimsy, I sprinkled some In Color Dots on top to mimic candy confetti, adding both color and dimension to the card.
“Eat Cake” in Style
The “eat cake” sentiment is a fun, bold statement on this card. I used Metallics Specialty Paper and paired it with the Stampin’ Up! Mini Alphabet Dies to cut out the letters. This combination of materials gives the letters a metallic sheen that complements the shimmer of the frosting perfectly. The background of the card was created using the So Swirly dies, adding a playful yet elegant touch to the overall design.
