Monster Miura Fun Fold Halloween Cards 🎃
About These Cards
Okay, friends, I am SO excited to share this one with you because it’s a little bit of card making magic and a whole lot of Halloween fun wrapped into one project. This isn’t just one card — it’s actually a set of FOUR cards, all made using the same clever Miura fold technique.
Think of the Miura fold as origami’s crafty cousin: it pops open into this awesome 3D accordion shape that practically stands up and says “ta-da!” all on its own. I made this batch using the Stampin’ Up! Spooktacular Designer Series Paper, and honestly, this paper did most of the heavy lifting — those bold, punchy monster faces were basically begging to be cut into something fun.
Meet the Monster Squad
First up, let’s talk about the gang. I made a Frankenstein, a Vampire, and a Skeleton — three classic monsters who clearly did not get the memo that Halloween is supposed to be scary, because these guys are downright adorable.
Frankenstein came out looking like he just wants a hug (not a village to chase him with torches).
This vampire’s got more blush than bite.
The skeleton is giving major “chill undead vibes.”
The Jack-o’-Lantern: The Friendly Face of Fall
Rounding out the set is the jack-o’-lantern card, and I have to say, this one might just steal the show. I dressed it up a little differently than the monster cards, layering in some leftover leaf die cuts and a stamped “you brighten my day” sentiment from the Botanical Expressions stamp set for a little extra warmth. This one’s less “boo” and more “hello gourd-geous,” which makes it so versatile — it works just as well for a fall birthday or a thinking-of-you note as it does for Halloween itself.
Basically, it’s the card equivalent of pumpkin spice: technically autumn, but nobody’s going to complain if you use it in October, November, or anytime you’re feeling a little punkin’ around.
These cards are perfect for Halloween party invites, trick-or-treat thank-yous, or just because you want to make someone’s mailbox a little more monster-ful. Fair warning though — once you make one, you won’t be able to skele-stop.

Don’t worry if the fold looks tricky at first glance; once you see it in motion, it clicks fast, and then you’ll be folding these things in your sleep (please don’t actually fold paper in your sleep, that sounds dangerous).
