About This Card: A Wing and a Prayer (for More Kits Like This One!)
If you thought the Fluttering Garden Paper Pumpkin Kit was already stunning, wait until you see what you can do with just the leftover pieces! This beauty was made entirely from repurposed elements of the kit — so there’s truly no waste here, only more gorgeous cards to share.
And can we talk about those hummingbirds for a second? They are absolutely hummingbird-approved for making your friends swoon. 😄 These little guys are in such a hurry to get to your recipients — they’ve been hovering in my craft room waiting to fly out the door! The stamp set included in the March Paper Pumpkin Kit featured breathtaking hummingbird images, and as if that wasn’t enough, this month’s kit also came with a bonus free stamp set showcasing even more of these gorgeous birds. Seriously, it was like getting two kits in one — what a treat!
Color It Beautiful: Stampin’ Blends to the Rescue
Once the images were stamped in Memento Black ink onto Basic White cardstock, the real magic happened with the Stampin’ Blends Markers. I colored each hummingbird using Highland Heather, Granny Apple, Daffodil Delight, Petal Pink, and Pecan Pie — and the combination is just chef’s kiss. 🎨
The foliage came to life with Granny Apple and Daffodil Delight for that lush, garden-fresh look.
Then, to really make all those gorgeous colors pop, I used the Pool Party Stampin’ Blends Marker to wash the entire white background with a soft, dreamy aqua tone. That one little step takes the card from pretty to wow — it’s a game-changer, and I highly recommend giving it a try!

Here’s a quick summary of what’s involved: you’ll be working with a Highland Heather card base, Basic Black for a sleek mat, and two pieces of Basic White for stamping. Everything is stamped in Memento Black ink, colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers, and finished off with embellishments from the kit. It’s a straightforward and satisfying build, even if you’re newer to card making!
