Pop Up Block Fun Fold Card Tutorial with Kintsugi Inspirations Suite
Welcome back, friends! Today, I’m excited to share another fun fold card with you – the Pop Up Block Fun Fold – using the Stampin’ Up! Kintsugi Inspirations Suite. This card combines striking design with an interesting technique that’s both beautiful and meaningful. If you’re new to card making or a seasoned pro looking for some fresh inspiration, this tutorial is for you!
What is Kintsugi?
Kintsugi is a centuries-old Japanese art form that repairs broken pottery using gold or silver lacquer. Rather than hiding the cracks, it highlights them, turning the imperfections into a beautiful feature of the piece. It’s a stunning representation of finding beauty in imperfection and embracing the past with pride. For me, it’s a perfect theme for a card because it reminds us that every experience—whether perfect or imperfect—adds to the beauty of our lives.
This card uses the Kintsugi Inspirations Specialty Paper, which has gorgeous gold foil accents, paired with Gold Foil vases. The blend of traditional and modern elements in this suite makes it truly unique, and I can’t wait for you to see how it comes together!
The Card Design
The Pop Up Block Fun Fold card is a showstopper! It’s a fun, interactive fold that will surprise anyone who opens it. The design features beautiful elements from the Kintsugi Inspirations Suite, with the highlight being the gold foil vases on the front, surrounded by delicate patterns from the coordinating Specialty Paper. The gold accents truly make this card feel luxurious and special.
How Do I Mail It?
Once your card is complete, it folds flat and will fit inside a standard envelope that comes with the kit. However, if you’re mailing it through the regular postal system, I recommend having it hand-canceled to avoid any damage to those beautiful gold details. If you have a local post office with a hand-cancellation service, it’s a great way to ensure your card arrives looking as beautiful as it was when you created it!
