Stampin’ Up! Beach Boardwalk Slimline Lapel Card Tutorial
If you love a fun fold that makes a big impression, this one is for you! 🎠 This Beach Boardwalk Slimline Lapel Card is part of my Slimline Lapel Series and it is packed with summery carnival fun. The dramatic lapel fold, the gorgeous palm tree silhouettes, and that show-stopping ferris wheel on the front — it’s giving all the boardwalk vibes!
I used the Stampin’ Up! Beach Boardwalk Suite featuring the Beach Boardwalk Designer Series Paper paired with the Pastels Shimmer Specialty Paper, which adds the most stunning shimmer to the card. The shimmer paper is used on the inside panels and it catches the light in the most beautiful way — it really elevates the whole design. And of course, I finished it off with the Beach Boardwalk Puffy Stickers for that extra special touch. ✨
The color palette on this card is everything. 🩷 We’re talking soft blush pinks, deep Basic Black, and those dreamy sunset tones from the designer paper. The palm tree silhouettes cut from Basic Black give it such a bold, graphic look, and the ferris wheel die cut layered on the front is an absolute showpiece. This card is one that people will stop and stare at — I promise!
One of my favorite things about the Slimline Lapel fold is how it looks so complex but is actually very achievable once you see it come together. The card opens up to reveal a wide, flat inside panel — perfect for a heartfelt message — and the lapel flaps frame it beautifully. The Beach Boardwalk Designer Series Paper was made for this fold, with those stunning scenic panels that line up just perfectly on each side. 🌴
