Stampin’ Up! Silly Old Bear Center Flap Fun Fold Cards – Free Video Class

Oh friends, I have been SO excited to share these cards with you, and today is finally the day! I am kicking off a brand new series called the Center Flap Fun Folds, and I could not have picked a more magical suite to launch it with than the new Stampin’ Up! Silly Old Bear Suite.

This series features free video classes with two different center flap fold styles — a standard center flap and an arrow center fold — and trust me, both are totally beginner-friendly and SO much fun to make. If you’ve never tried a fun fold card before, this is the perfect place to start!

And because this post is also kicking off my Stamp It Group’s Mother’s Day Blog Hop, the timing couldn’t be more perfect. I don’t know about you, but I have the fondest memories of my mom reading me Winnie the Pooh books when I was little, so featuring this suite for a Mother’s Day hop just felt right. Meet the Silly Old Bear Suite 🍯

Now let’s talk about these products, because honestly… I am obsessed. The Silly Old Bear Suite releases to customers on May 5, 2026, and it features the whole beloved Hundred Acre Wood crew — Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore, Rabbit, Owl, Kanga, and Roo.

The suite includes two bundles: the Sweet Old Friends Bundle and the Sweet Words & Labels Bundle, the latter featuring the most gorgeous nesting label dies — seriously, the frames alone are worth it. The designer paper is stunning, with scenes that coordinate perfectly with the dies so you can fussy cut or just showcase the paper as-is. And the Hundred Acre Woods 3D Embossing Folder? Don’t even get me started. 🧡

One important note: this suite is available in the US only due to international copyright restrictions — so if you’re a US customer, consider yourself extra lucky! It’s available now to demonstrators and in demo kits starting May 4th.

Let’s Talk About the Fold!

First up, let’s talk about the Center Pop Up fold — this is the one that makes people stop and say “wait, how did you DO that?!” 😄 The card starts as a standard card base, but when you open it, two flaps fold out from the center to reveal a beautiful scene inside.

It’s one of those folds that looks incredibly impressive but is actually very approachable once you see it broken down step by step. The key is in the scoring and the two small cuts on either side of the front — and once it clicks, you’ll want to make it in every suite you own!

The Arrow Center Fold — A Fun Twist!

The second card in this class features the Arrow Center Pop Up fold, and honestly, this one might be my favorite of the two. Instead of straight flaps, the center panel comes to a beautiful pointed triangle shape — like an arrow or a diamond — when you open the card.

It gives the whole design a dramatic, eye-catching look that is perfect for showcasing a sentiment on that center vanilla layer. The “The best kind of days are the days spent together” sentiment from the Sweet Words & Labels Bundle looks absolutely stunning stamped right in the middle of that triangle. Such a showstopper! 🍯

Why These Folds Work Perfectly with the Silly Old Bear Suite

One of the things I love most about these two folds is how beautifully the Silly Old Bear Designer Paper shines through them. The panoramic forest scenes on the paper are literally made for a card that opens up like a storybook — and that’s exactly what these fun folds feel like!

When you open the Arrow fold and see Pooh standing by his tree with his hunny jar, it genuinely feels like you’re opening up a little A.A. Milne moment. 🐻 The Misty Moonlight card base pairs perfectly with the soft blues in the designer paper, and the Crumb Cake mats add just the right amount of warmth. It all comes together in the most dreamy, nostalgic way.

I’ve put together everything you need to make both versions of this card — complete written instructions with measurements, step-by-step assembly notes, diagrams, AND a free video class so you can watch me make it in real time.
