The much anticipated Simply Adorned line of charms is finally here! These necklaces and charm bracelets are all the rage, and they are so easy and fun to make your own. “Your loved one will always be as close as a memory, and the God of all comfort as close as a prayer” - I love this verse from the Close as a Memory stamp set. Sometimes we stamp for joy, and sometimes we stamp for pain…today’s post is dedicated to the loss of loved ones and friends.
These are a couple of beautiful sympathy cards. The first uses the verse I quoted above and the Stampin Up Close as a Memory set (114946), along with the Little Leaves Sizzlet (114511) and Blossom Party (115971) Big Shot dies.
The green and pink card is created with the Sweetest Stem Embosslit die (114513) & Scallop circle #2 (113469) die, than some Stampin’ Pastels chalks sponged for the color. The tree card is the Thoughts & Prayers stamp set (113252) and some Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Paper (115675).
I love this company, and I’m touched over and over by the generosity of you ladies! In just 15 days, Stampin Up has raised over $15,000 from the sale of the I {Heart} Hearts stamp set (117010) to make a difference in the lives of those who continue to be affected by the January 12 earthquake in Haiti. From each of these sets, Stampin′ Up! is donating $2 to the Red Cross’ Haiti Relief and Development Fund. Click here for more info >
This offer lasts until February 28, 2010, so you still have time to lend a helping hand to those who are so much in need. Click here to order your set today >
My cyber wedding expo of hand stamped ideas is still going strong! Today’s contribution is from Sarah Schueler. Sarah steps outside the traditional wedding stamp set “box” with her invitation, she stamped this with the Friends 24-7 stamp set (113218). The crushed curry ink and paper can easily be changed to any bride’s wedding colors.
The top section text is printed on Vellum card stock (101856), ribbon accents are Whisper White Organza (114319) and Basic Black Grosgrain (109027).
How’d she do that? This card looks like it has several layers of photos, designer paper and stamps…but in reality it’s 1 flat layer, created in the My Digital Studio software program and printed as a glossy photo. The photo was then layered on chocolate chip card stock! It’s amazing. Even in person it looks layered, and the brads and buttons look so real you want to touch them hehehehe.
This was created by my friend and downline Anita. She’s sooooo talented, not to mention her beautiful family. She even created the inside panel in MDS (My Digital Studio), layering the digital curly label punch on designer paper and adding the text, then printed it and attached to the inside of the card.
Hybrid Stamping: The art of mixing card stock and embellishments with digital stamping is called “hybrid”. It’s another way to use MDS, in addition to the professional printing services that come with it, you can also print yourself at home and create these cool projects.
Get ready to accessorize your digital projects with two new digital downloads for My Digital Studio! The Sending Love epoxy brads and the Corduroy Buttons digital downloads are perfect for adding depth and dimension to your digital projects and will coordinate perfectly with other exclusive Stampin′ Up! papers, designs, and colors.
This is just the stinkin’ cutest dang thing … ever! Check him out, he’s Punchy the Lion! Made from punches, and his body is a heart treat cup. Can you stand it?!?! Have a Lion King fan? Here’s your Simba. Roooooar!
This is just an over the top in cuteness! The lion’s head is the scallop circle punch, and the tail is the 2 step bird punch from the Occasions mini catalog. The heart cup is filled with M & M candy, turning this from card extraordinaire to treat. I love outside of the box creations, and this one is tops, inspired by the queen of punches Jackie Topia.
These wedding invitation and rsvp cards are simple, elegant and timeless. Created to match the wedding colors of the bride, this is sample uses Mellow Moss, which can easily adapted for any color. The front lower portion of the inviation flips down to reveal a folder that holds the RSVP card and envelope.
The inside is printed on the computer on whisper white, then stamped with the Wedding Sweet (115466) stamp set & matching Monogram Sweet (115462) alphabet stamp set. The outside use the Perfect Details texture plate (115962) (for the Big Shot) for some matching, elegant texture. Other accessories include the Scallop Edge punch (112091) & Whisper White Organza Ribbon (114319).
The neutral colors of the Bella Bleu DP combined with the Simple Friendship stamp set give this card set a beautiful vintage feel that brings us back to the days when sending hand-written notes to our friends and loved ones was common.

Don’t you just love getting presents? Especially when they are a surprise! I was really excited to open my mail and receive this gem from my friend and downline Liz Miller. We attended SU Leadership and Regionals in Phoenix several weeks ago, and this paper rosette flower was one of the techniques we learned (click here to view video tutorial). Look at how beautiful this is! I love how she used the Sweet Pea Stitched Felt flowers (117266) as the center and leaves
This beautiful basket is a gift from my mom, Sharon MacKinnon. She is a new demonstrator in my group. She made this for a class she is doing, and was kind enough to give me one. She used the new 2 step bird punch (117191), and the Stampin Up Baskets & Blooms Bigz XL die (113484) for the Big Shot.
A couple of reminders since tomorrow is the last day of the month:

Just think how beautiful these little fancy “sculptured glass” bags will be for wedding favors (either on the wedding tables, or at the bridal shower). It’s made with Stampin Up Window Sheets (this bag uses the thick sheets 114324). The bag design is the Big Shot cut Bag with Scallops Bigz XL Die (114519), and texture is created with the Finial Press Impressions folder (115963). Whisper White Organza ribbon (114319) is heated with the embossing heat gun to give it a little crinkle. Filled with Hershey Nuggets candy (you can even decorate the nuggets, click here for a video). This bag was created by Laura Weed.
I did a video tutorial over the holidays on how to create this “sculptured glass” technique (click here to view). The original uses the Stampin Up Fancy Favor Bigz XL die (115965). After watching the video, Laura created this gorgeous sample and was sweet enough to give me one. I love it! I love seeing (and hearing) your creativity when you’ve been inspired by the site, you all are the best!
This is a gorgeous, elegant and shimmery wedding invitation. It is a subtle, very vanilla on very vanilla layer. Uses the Wedding Sweet stamp set (115466) and is stamped in Shimmer White Shimmer paint. The inside is embossed with the Perfect Details texture plate (115962) for the big shot, and it matches the stamps on the front perfectly. There is a folder that has the HOTEL, RSVP, CEREMONY and RECEPTION detail cards stacked in it for a perfect presentation.
