Bleeding Heart beauty from Michelle

pocket-silhouettesI received this beautiful "Bleeding Heart" card from my friend Michelle Zindorf. It's such a beautiful work of art, using the Pocket Silhouettes stamp set #111672, Stampin' Sponges #101610 and a Brayer #102395. Michelle's cards are works of art, I'm such a huge fan and so touched, on several levels, to receive this in the mail. She put a Bleeding Heart tutorial for this card up on her blog.

My Digital Studio Photo Calendar – Part 1

calendar-2012-01-januaryEvery year for Christmas I create photo calendars for the Grandparents. I was soooo excited when Stampin' Up! came out with the My Digital Studio software (MDS) as the calendar options are far superior in both freedom to create, and in print quality, to services I'd used in the past. MDS has gotten even better from last year with the new updates (be sure to update your MDS software, the updates are free). This year I created an inspirational theme throughout the calendar. I love how them came out. Here are the first 3 months, I'll post the rest this week. I've been hesitant to post these before Christmas because I didn't want anyone getting a "sneak peek" of their gift ahead of time lol. They know they are getting calendars, but the pictures in them are the surprise. So if you see my parents, and Nana ... don't tell them ... and Mom if you're peaking "step away from the blog" at least until Monday lol!!!

Partial Impressions Emboss – Vellum

partial-impress-flowersContinuing on with my series on partial impressions embossing, today's gorgeous card sample shows this technique on Stampin' Up! Vellum Card Stock(101856). I love working with vellum, and when you run it through the Big Shot impressions folder, the embossed design is "frosted" and super cool. I layered the embossed vellum over very vanilla card stock, using a sahara sand card base. The flowers on this card were created using two punches: Blossom Petals (121808) & 2 step Bird Punches (117191). The flower itself is 2 of the same blossom Petals (larger petal) I cut the top off one and sponged the edges. Frayed Daffodil Delight grosgrain ribbon (120928) in between. Greeting is Teeny Tiny Wishes (115370) in the Word Window Punch (119857), this card be used for any occasion simply by changing the words.

Hartford, CT Regional Event

p3185657This past weekend Stampin' Up was in Hartford, CT doing a Regional event for demonstrators and guests. I presented a "workshop wow" technique called "Partial Impression folder embossing", it was a lot of fun. I promise to share a video and my samples here soon. This first picture is of my group that attended the Friday event. We had such a blast.

VIDEO TUTORIAL: Heart Card and Clear Mount Stamps

heart-tamiToday's video project is a versatile card, perfect for Valentine's Day, and also works for birthdays, wedding or sympathy. It features a cool masking technique using the heart punch. I love working with vellum, it's so elegant. And the paper piercing tool accompanied with the mat pack template give the corners a perfect touch. BONUS: I'm including a quick tutorial on how use the Stampin' Up! clear mount stamps. Card designed by my downline Linda Cullen.

New England Stampin Up Extravaganza – Part 1

extravaganzaThis past Saturday, May 22 was our 3rd annual New England Stampin Up Demonstrator Extravaganza, and it was AMAZING!!! This year I co-hosted the event with Deb Valder, and we held it in Springfield, Ma. Demonstrators, customers and friends came from all over for the event. Our guest speakers Meg Loven & BJ Peters flew in from IL & MN and I was lucky enough to get to spend some time with them before the big day. We also had fantastic technique presenters. and a room full of displays. I left so excited, and filled with ideas I didn't know which one to try first! This is the first of several posts of pictures from the event, stay tuned for tons more.

tami-waddell-1

Here's a few more fantastic tributes to the amazing products in the Occasions mini catalog. This catalog and most of the items in it end on April 30.

Saying goodbye to the Occasions Mini – Part 1

lyn-wilcox-1The 2010 Stampin Up Occasions mini catalog has so many fantastic stamp sets, and new products. It boosted the first look at Stampin Up's new Clear Mount stamp system, which I LOVE LOVE LOVE! It is also ending on April 30, and with it many of the cool stamps and products in it will no longer be available. Don't worry, the clear mount stamps and new blocks will be staying around (wshew!!!) but these sets may be gone forever.

Love Bots – Great kids party thank yous and favors

valentinesFor Valentine's this year, I got the new Love Bots in the Occasions Mini Catalog for my son. He was so excited, he actually put them all together himself yesterday. It was the cutest thing, and they were so easy. I thought these little boxes not only made great Valentine's, they also make great kids birthday party thank you and favor boxes. Quick and easy.

Join Stampin Up today and be a part of something special

372 What does it mean to "join Stampin' Up"? I think this answer may be a little different for each of us. For me it started out as one thing, and has changed over the past 6 years. Originally, for me, becoming a demonstrator had nothing to do with demonstrating. It meant a discount on my favorite hobby. Soon my excitement caught on to some friends, who wanted to learn more, and before you know it I was learning how much I loved teaching people how to stamp. I loved watching them bloom and grow, and I still do.

Believe in Yourself – Help Sydney Call stop Bullying

blooming with kindness-stampin upThis card is dedicate to my friend, Sydney Call. Sydney is a first grader, who started out this past school year full of enthusiasm, which quickly turned to anxiety brought on by classmates who began bullying her.

Sydney Call speaks outSo what did this precious little first grader do? She wrote a song about it!

Sydney's song is called "Believe in Yourself", and Sydney and her family (parents and siblings) played it at their elementary school variety show. After the performance, one of the girls who had bullied Sydney approached her and promised to be nicer, saying "I don't want to be in any more songs!".

The Call Family, has begun their own band - Calling Out, you can read more here on their blog > Here is a AWESOME video Sydney and her family put together using their variety show performance and more! The kids are really excited to watch the view count go up.
