NEWS & VIDEOS: Stampin Up OnStage Convention Recap

stamp it demo group I'm home from a most amazing trip to Salt Lake City for Stampin Up's On Stage event. I'm overwhelmed with joy, and happiness after spending 5 days with great friends (old and new). 16 of our Stamp It demonstrator group were able to attend, and wow what a great time we had. We were blown away by the new catalog, and all of the presentations. We all won prizes, and even found the YouCrew Prize Patrol (video below). Ate some great food, and shared a lot of fun. I've posted a few videos below from the event. As a leader, and a friend, some of the most special moments of the past week were watching my gals walk across the stage for their accomplishments. 3 of my team are rock stars, and I'm so proud. Congratulations to Lori Mueller, Oksana Semenska and Kim Quade. oksana on stage lori on stage kim on stage I love these gals so much, and am so proud. They've worked hard, and deserve every moment of recognition. It's as exciting to watch them walk across stage then my own moment. I was also honored to stand on stage with Sara Douglass for hitting a career milestone of $1.4 million in sales. I was not expecting this, it was a little emotional for me. tami on stage On Thursday night, Stampin Up hosted a Managers Reception for the Silver Elite and above at the Grand America hotel (see video below). There was a dueling piano show, an amazing 4 course meal and reception. We got to hang with Co-Founder, Shelli Gardner, which was a highlight!

April 11 Weekly Recap: The week in Youtube and Periscope

Goodbye Weekly Deals: Stampin Up has announced this morning that they will be phasing out the “Weekly Deals” on April 18. From SU:

Weekly Deals began to help reduce overstocked inventory. As we’ve reduced excess inventory, the variety of products available for Weekly Deals has decreased, making the deals less exciting, so we’re replacing Weekly Deals with a less frequent but better promotion called Special Offers. These Special Offers will occur every few months as inventory allows (the goal is still to reduce overstocked inventory) with more products and discount tiers than Weekly Deals

CARD: Cool Rose Wonder Wedding Wishes Technique & Winner Announcement

stampin up rose wonder card

ROSE WONDER CARD

This is a very cool card made with the Rose Garden created by my friend Liz Miller. I love it when we have "happy accidents", and that's how Liz invented this cool looking technique with the white spots. Here's how she created this cool technique: I die cut the rose first then adhered to the card stock layer with the fine tip glue pen. Once set, I used a sponge dauber to color the flower. Then brushed the wink of Stella over the color. The strange white marks are the dried glue from where I slightly moved the die cut or had excess on my fingers.

VIDEO: How to make a Sunset using the Masking Technique

stampin up wetlands sympathy card This is a beautiful, classic "wow" card. Created with some simple masking techniques that are great even for beginners. I created this version as a sympathy card, but the greeting on this card can be swapped out with one of the other greetings in the Stampin Up Wetlands stamp set, to make this good for any occasion. Inspired by Sabrina Radeck. stampin up wetlands 1

You just never know what's going to happen when you're live, and last night's session was one of the times hahaha. I start a new drinking game, discuss "naughty word" adult coloring books, imitate Darth Vader and experience the "epic fail" at the last moment on this card. Check out the video replay below for this, and more of the fun we had plus sneak peeks of tomorrow's YouTube video and my On Stage convention swaps for next week.

SUNBURST SUNFLOWER CARD

It came out even cooler then I pictured it in my head. Check out my youtube "how to" video below with the easy, step by step instructions. Step aside Linda Ronstadt...I broke out into a little sing along part way through the card making. It's not pretty, but no glass shattered when I hit the high notes so nothing was damaged lol. I left it in the video for your viewing enjoyment. I say "viewing" because you'll probably be covering your ears to block out the sound hahaha. You're welcome.

PHOTOBOMING GIRAFFE

The story of George the Photobombing Giraffe....it all started in New Jersey of all places. I take my kids and friends on a road trip to 6 Flags Great Adventure every year for the extreme rides. They have a safari there with giraffes. Last year by accident we ended up on platform having a private feeding with the giraffes, and this happened: photobombing giraffeScreen Shot 2016-03-23 at 6.53.38 PM What do ya think? I think it looks just like him lol! The kids won a stuffed giraffe to commemorate that day, that we’ll all never forget. We named him George the photobombing giraffe, and he still shows up in the background of our trip photos. Tips & Tricks On this video I'll show you how to make this stinkin' cute George the Giraffe treat box, including a few tips. Like how to keep those smaller framelits in place, and how to use the ear die for his face without getting the score line.
