FREE Online Class Tonight + Blessed Easter Part II

blessed easter-lisa pressleyToday's inspiration comes from the Blessed Easter stamp in the Stampin Up Occasions catalog. It's a single stamp, with the words "Wishes for a Blessed Easter" on it. Don't want to use the words? No problem, see my video (below) from a couple of days ago, and I'll show you how to stamp the flower image without the words. These flowers were colored with the Subtles stampin write markers. The pink Easter card was designed by Lisa Pressley.

CARD: Petal Parade Card – SAB ends Monday

petal parade-naomi keelingHere's another beautiful card made with the Petal Parade stamp set from Stampin Up Sale-a-Bration 2014. A great color combination with the Coastal Cabana and Crumb cake. The "Birthday Wishes" is from the SU Four You stamp set and can easily be swapped out to make this card good for any occasion.

VIDEO: Blessed Easter Watercolor Card

blessed easter-stampinupToday's video is a gorgeous card my friend Linda Cullen shared at our last demonstrator group meeting. It is so beautiful, and versatile. Designed with Easter in mind, but changed the "Happy Easter" greeting to "Thoughts of You" to show how easy it can become a sympathy card.

The video shows some easy tips on how to use masking to "eliminate" portions of a rubber stamp.

CARD: By the Tide beauty

by the tide-kathie rottiI am in love with the colors and layout of this card, using one of my favorite stamp sets: By the Tide from Stampin Up. The Pool Party (blue) and Crumb Cake is so pretty together. The seashell and sea horse images, combined with the hardwood background really give a rustic "Nantucket" beach feel to the card. The Perfect Pennants stamp set and banners dies make the greeting stand out. From Kathie Rotti.

CARD: Kick Up Yer Heels Cowboy Boots

bootiful-liz millerLove this stinkin' cute card! My friend, Liz Miller (Stampin with Liz), made these for swaps for Stampin Up's Leadership in Houston in January....yeehaw! Even though I'm a New England gal to the core, I still love me a fun pair of cowboy boots.

CARD: Serene Silhouettes Dare to Dream

serene silhouettes-kathie rottiThis card is a real WOW in person, the Serene Silhouettes tree layered on the Happy Watercolor "splotch" stamp in a trio of colors is so striking. Would you call that shape a "splotch"? Maybe it's more of a "splash"? Either way, it's beautiful! the colors are Soft Suede, Always Artichoke and Pumpkin Pie. "Dare to Dream" comes from the Stampin' Up Loving Thoughts stamp set.

CARD: Hexagon Hive Surprise Card

peaceful petals-swapLove, love, love today's card featuring the Stampin Up Happy Watercolor stamp set. This stamp set is featured in the Occasions Catalog. The flowers are layered on Wisteria Wonder card stock cut with the Apothecary Accents Framelits. The base of the card is Whisper White card stock, layered with Basic Black card stock textured in Beautiful Baroque folder, then a layer of the new Hexagon Hive framelit cut out from Eggplant Envy card stock.

The look of the textured black peaking beneath the hexagon hive cut outs is a fabulous "Surprise"! Very cool!

CARD: Watercolor Wonder Scallop Tag Topper

four frames-teresa howeThis beautiful card features the cool Scallop Tag topper closure fold, and Watercolor Wonder designer series paper. The label is from the Four Frames stamp set, and the "Hello, Sweet Friend" greeting is from the Six Sided Sampler stamp set and punched with the Decorative Label punch. Created by Teresa Howe.

Check out my video tutorial demonstrating how to create this cool Scallop Tag Topper closure fold here >

CARD Peaceful Petals Easter / Sympathy

peaceful petals debi ryanThis card is a real stand out in a crowd! Beautiful, elegant and peaceful, this flower card could easily be turned into an Easter / Spring card simply by changing the greeting from "thinking of you" (Sympathy) to any occasion. The main flower focal point is From the Peaceful Petals stamp set in the Occasions catalog. It has been heat embossed with White emboss powder on Shimmery White card stock. Then colored with Pink Pirouette and Daffodil Delight Stampin Write markers and cut out. Designed by Debi Ryan.

CARD: Starburst Modern Medley

sunburst card-mary munsonToday's share is a swap card I received at Leadership from Mary Munson. So striking, it was created with the Modern Medley DSP and Stampin Up's Simply Pressed clay for the flower in the center and 3 flower punches (see supplies) for the layered flower. Mary used the Starburst/sunburst technique for the cool design. Mary created the dots on the flower by creating "Black Glitter Glue" made by mixing Basic Black reinker into Dazzling Details glitter.

VIDEO: Baroque Texture Background Pop Card

Tlabel love-leonie-stampinupoday's video is a very cool and simple technique to make the textured impressions background "pop" off your card. I am planning to make these for Easter Cards, and cahnge the "Happy Birthday" artisan label punch to The Happy Easter from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. The card is so elegant and can be used for any occasion: wedding, birthday, congrats, etc.

Don't miss special guest appearance from Flash Gordon, free of charge! Yeppers, true story. Ok, so my beagle has a super hero complex. Funny stuff.

This card idea came all the way from Sydney, Australia and Leonie Shroder (Di Dimich). I did mine in Coastal Cabana, here are Leonie's different color variations: Pink Pirouette, Pool Party and Pistachio Pudding.

CARD: Textured Blessed Easter Tulips

blessed easter-angie brailsfordWe are 1 week into the Lent Season, and once again Easter is sneaking up on us. I'm starting a "Best of Easter" series of posts on my Facebook page for inspiration, featuring some of my past videos and projects. This is a new share, a swap from Angie Brailsford. It's absolutely beautiful and easy to make using the ink pads and blender pens to color in the flowers. If you aren't familiar with this method of color, check out this video I created demonstrating the technique >

The card was colored, assembled with Snail adhesive and then run through the Square Lattice texture folder to flatten & texture all of the layers.

CARD: Another Great Year Card

another great year-lynsay mahonAdorable!!! Love the cupcake focal point of this birthday card from "Another Great Year" stamp set in the Occasions Catalog. Accented with a little splatter from "Gorgeous Grunge" and some "Retro Fresh" Washi Tape. Created by my friend Lynsay Mahon.

CARD: Feel Goods “Best things in Life”

feel goods-diana risherThere's so much truth in this saying "The Best things in life aren't things" from the Stampin Up Feel Goods stamp set. The words are embellished with rhinestones, and layered on the Window Framelits. Design by Diana Risher.

VIDEO: Cool Scallop Tag Topper Fold Technique

petite petals-stampin up-scallop punchToday's video features a super cool card closure technique using the new Scallop Tag Topper punch "outside the box" to create this gorgeous scallop enclosure. It looks complicated, but it's surprisingly easy. The card is so gorgeous, using the Perfect Pennants and Petite Petals stamp and punch...and all of the "p"s are fun to say together fast lol!

Huge thanks to Caroline van der Straaten who designed this card, Caroline is a very talented Dutch Stampin Up demonstrator.

CARD: Perfect Blend coffee “to go” cups

perfect blend-joyce huntI've nicknamed the Stampin Up "Perfect Blend" stamp set the "Starbucks" set lol. This card is too adorable featuring the coffee cups in Venetian Romance designer paper, and the baked brown sugar card stock run through the Stripes Impressions folder to create the "corrugated" strip around the cups. Created by Joyce Hunt.

CARD: SAB: Petal Parade Birthday

petal parade-tamra needlesToday's card is another fabulous sample from the Sale-a-bration Petal Parade stamp set. It's a great birthday card, with a touch of pizazz! The silver glimmer scallop circle really adds sparkle & Silver foil strip to this card. The designer paper is also from SAB, called Sweet Sorbet. Designed by Tamra Needles.

CARD: Ingrid Expresses Herself

express yourself-ingrid rosarioThis past January at Stampin Up's Leadership event in Houston, I met the sweetest demonstrator from Puerto Rico. Her name was Ingrid Rosario. This is Ingrid's swap card from Leadership, and the girl is "Punch Ingrid" - I LOVE IT! How stinkin' adorable is this? I'll post the supplies she used below. I have the English version of the Express Yourself Hostess stamp set listed, but Ingrid used the Spanish version which is also available.

CARD: By the Tide Seashell

by the tide-jan reidStill winter here in New England, but that isn't stopping me from dreaming of the beach and days to come. This conch seashell card is striking with it's monochromatic color scheme, and perfectly placed elements. Images from the Stampin Up "By the Tide" stamp set, and 3 impressions folders: Designer Frames, Fancy fan and Framed Tulips. Designed by Tammy Johnson.

The Fancy Fan layer was created with a cool technique of inking up the impressions folder either with the ink pad directly, or with a brayer. I made a video a few years ago demonstrating this technique, you can view it here >

CARD: Take a Walk on the Wild Side

walk in the wild-stampin upEvery time I see the "walk on the wild side" stamp set, I want to start singing the Lou Reed song. I'm always loving a good "man card", and how can you go wrong with the moose? He's as outdoorsy as it gets! This is a great masculine birthday card.

Sing with me ... Doo do doo do doo do ...

CARD: Itty Bitty Banners Love Card

itty bitty banners-ellen quintinI am in love with this card from my friend, Ellen Quintin (Cased from Chantal Castle). The color combination is so pretty, and the simplicity of the design make this card stand out in a crowd. Ellen loosened the fibers of the Primrose Petals card stock flower with a bone folder, softening the look.
