Beach Tote Card with Sunshine & Starburst Technique
Hello, crafty friends!
I’m back with a fun and fabulous handmade card tutorial that’s bursting with summer vibes—and sunshine! This beach-themed card features a colorful tote bag, sunny rays created with the Starburst technique, and a playful faux newspaper with the headline “Newsflash! You’re Fabulous.” It’s cheerful, beachy, and just perfect for those summer celebrations—whether it’s a birthday, a party invite, or just a “you’re amazing” kind of day.
About the Card
This handmade card is part of my Starburst Technique series and was created with the Stampin’ Up! Notes & Totes Stamp and Die Bundle. I absolutely love how this bundle brings so much personality to paper crafting—especially when paired with some clever die cuts and bright patterned paper.
The background bursts with sunny rays that spotlight the tote bag, while the “sand” at the bottom adds a fun, beachy texture. I used designer series papers from both the Brights Collection and the Frames & Flowers Specialty Paper to create the sunburst and bag accents. The floral embellishments? They’re from the coordinating die cuts included in the Frames & Flowers paper pack. Aren’t they the cutest?
