Valentine’s Day is the perfect occasion to create and share handmade love! In today’s tutorial, I’m sharing a beautiful Diagonal Fun Fold Card that is super easy to make but still packs a wow factor. Whether you’re crafting for a special someone, celebrating an anniversary, or even making a heartfelt wedding card, this design is versatile and fun.
Even better? This card is made using repurposed pieces from the Hearts for You Paper Pumpkin Kit, proving once again that thinking outside the box leads to stunning results!
Repurposing Paper Pumpkin – A Fresh Take on the Kit
I absolutely love Paper Pumpkin kits! They make card making so effortless and enjoyable. But one of my favorite things to do is take the pieces and create something completely new. While the Hearts for You Kit is already amazing as designed, I had fun reimagining it into this unique diagonal fold card.
Here’s how I transformed the kit elements into this special card:
- The gold foil “Love” die-cut is straight from the kit and makes a stunning focal point.
- The flamingo swirl printed paper? It’s actually cut from one of the card bases in the kit! I love getting extra use out of these printed designs.
- The striped paper is from the Brights Designer Series Paper, which adds a fun and bold contrast.
- The heart die-cut comes from the Spring is in the Air Dies, an add-on set that coordinates with this month’s kit and the next two Paper Pumpkin kits!
A Card for Every Occasion
While this card is perfect for Valentine’s Day, it can also be used for so many other occasions! With just a few tweaks, you can easily turn this into a:

Simply swap out the sentiment and colors to match the occasion, and you have a design that works year-round.
