Star Gatefold with Splendid Autumn
Welcome to Part 8 of my Star Gatefold Card Tutorial series! This card features gorgeous watercolor scenes from the Splendid Autumn Designer Series Paper. When I was creating this card, I had Thanksgiving in mind, so I chose elements and colors that reflect a warm, grateful spirit.

About the Star Gatefold Design

I’ve also included some helpful tips on how to extend your standard 8-1/2” x 11” cardstock to a 12” x 12” size for the card base.

Choosing the Right Envelope
For those wondering about envelopes, this card measures just under 6” x 6”. You can either make a custom envelope for it, or a 6” x 9” envelope will work well to accommodate the unique shape. Having the right envelope really completes the look and feel of the card when it’s ready to gift.
