VIDEO: How to make Theater Fold Cards [Series Cards 1 & 2]

HOW TO MAKE THEATER FOLD CARDS THEATER CARD SERIES #1 & 2 Kicking off a new fun fold card series with the Theater Stage Card, also called the Slide & Reveal Card or Sliding Shadowbox. On the video class I'll share how to create this card with the Stampin' Up! Saleabration Favored Flowers Designer paper. I've also share card #2 in this series below.  I turned the theater fold into a photo card for a personal touch. I made it for a friend's birthday. I used a photo of their house instead of designer paper for the background. A floating wakeboarder in front for a really a cool effect.  These cards fold flat and fit into a Medium Stampin' Up! Envelope. Whether they would need more postage would depend on how many dimensionals you use.

The word “thanks” is from the coordinating Fragrant Flower stamp set. Heat embossed in white and cut with a label from the Fragrant Flowers die. I attached the label with the Window Sheet. It gives the illusion of floating.

PHOTO THEATER CARD #2


Card #2 in my series features a twist on the Theater Stage card. I used a photo for the background instead of designer paper. I made this wakeboarding theater photo card for a friend I ski with. The background photo is their house. I used the retired Waves of the Ocean Designer Series Paper to coordinate with the water theme.
  
I printed the photo on Basic White card stock to use for the background. I printed a second copy of the photo to layer over the I Beam so the I Beam blends in with the background. 

I used a stock image of the wakeboarder silhouette. I cut it out and attached it to a window sheet to the back of the I Beam to give the appearance of the wakeboarder flipping.

I added another custom touch to this card by adding a card base to the back for the greeting. I use basic black standard card base: 11″ x 4-1/4″ scored in half with a piece of white inside to write on.

    I’ll have to try this card on a day when I don’t have any distractions. Looks like a challenge, but I’m willing to give it a try.

      Definitely give it a try! You can also do a little at a time if you only have a few minutes here and there.
