CARD: Rose Wonder “Stained Glass” Birthday Beauty Wow Card

Today's beautiful card was created with the "stained glass" technique. It features the Stampin Up Rose Wonder stamp set and coordinating Rose Garden Framelits. Last month I created a "how to" video (link below) for this stunning technique. The inside of the rose was created with Love Blossoms dsp, Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper and Blushing Bride card stock. The background was textured with the Brick Wall folder, then the edges were sponged.

This Timeless Elegance peek-a-boo card and milk carton style gift box set are "wow" projects. Made with the Stampin Up Timeless Elegance designer paper. This "milk carton" style box is super easy to make, and makes a great gift package for so many occasions: birthday, wedding favors, thank you, etc. The embellishments are from the Botanical Builder Framelits and Metal Rimmed Pearls. I "cased" (copied) this card idea from the Stampin Up demo magazine for this blog post. I made it my own by changing the colors and stamp sets (supplies below). The Color Me Irresistible paper was on special this week, so I've been having some fun playing with it. This is an "Ombre Resist" technique. Instead of just photographing the card after I made it, I Periscoped a live broadcast while I was making it. It was like stamping with friends. CARD MEASUREMENTS- Base: 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" folded in half

This card is just awesome! I love the emboss resist technique. The star fish image is from the Stampin Up Picture Perfect stamp set. On the background, it's heat embossed in white, then sponged. The embossing will resist the ink on the sponge creating this cool effect. The words are heat embossed on the Sale-a-Bration botanicals vellum stack. Today's sweet doggie card is a quick watercolor card from the Stampin Up Wilderness Awaits stamp set. He makes a great masculine card, and fits many occasions. I made this live on Periscope last night for my blog this morning and posted the replay on Facebook. You can watch the replay even if you don't have the Periscope app yet. Don't laugh too much at my antics, I can't edit out live broadcasts, you get what you get hahaha.
I share a few tips on how to get a nice clean image with the background stamps, and how to make your own "candy dot" colors. Stay tuned to the end of the video from some more card ideas using the Wilderness Awaits stamp set.
