Sending Wishes: A Berry Botanical Angled Tri-Fold Slimline Birthday Card
About This Card: A Berry Botanical Beauty 🌸
Hey friends! I’m so excited to share my newest handmade card with you, and I think this one might just be a new favorite. This sweet birthday card is part of my Angled Tri-Fold Slimline card series, which features a fun angled fold that opens up to reveal a fresh, eye-catching layout every single time.
For this design, I paired the soft pink and lavender Berry Botanical patterned paper with the gorgeous Berry Botanical Vellum and the Framed All Around Stamp Set to create a card that feels romantic, modern, and full of personality. A cluster of hand-cut vellum flowers and leaves spills across the front, paired with a die-cut circle sentiment that reads “Sending Wishes for the Happiest Birthday,” plus a few sprinkles of Dreamy Flowers for that extra sparkle. Even though it looks like it took hours, this design is totally doable for beginner card makers — promise!
Why I’m Loving the Berry Botanical Vellum 🍇
Okay, let’s talk about that vellum, because it really is the heart of this card. Vellum has this dreamy, translucent quality that adds instant softness to any design, and the Berry Botanical pattern takes that to a whole new level. With its mix of berries, leaves, and little floral details in soft pinks, blues, and greens, this vellum gives the card a delicate, almost watercolor-like feel.
On this card, I used it two ways: as a colorful angled panel on the inside, and hand-cut into individual flowers and leaves that layer beautifully on the front for a dimensional, garden-fresh look.
Beyond birthdays, this vellum is so versatile that it works for just about any occasion. Its soft, gentle vibe makes it perfect for sympathy or thinking-of-you cards, while the pretty florals are right at home on a thank-you card, get-well wish, or even a wedding or anniversary card. Once you start working with vellum, you’ll find yourself reaching for it again and again!
The Framed All Around Stamp Set Brings It All Together 🖼️
Next up is the Framed All Around Stamp Set, and friends, this one is a workhorse. I used it to stamp the “Sending Wishes for the Happiest Birthday” sentiment in Blackberry Bliss ink, then die-cut it into a clean circle using the Stylish Shapes Dies for that polished, finished look. I also used the set to stamp a delicate floral image onto the white panel inside the card, so even the inside feels special.
Additionally, because you can swap out the shirt and flag colors to match any team’s colors, this card works for any level — youth rec leagues all the way up to the World Cup. It’s also a great card for kids to give to a teammate or sports-loving grandparent. So go ahead and make a whole stack — you’re definitely going to need them! ⚽🎉
