Woolly Friends Triple Z Fold Card Tutorial
Stampin’ Up! Woolly Friends Bundle + Painted Illusions Designer Paper
About This Card
Oh my goodness… this card is simply fab-ewe-lous! 🐑💕
Today I’m sharing another design from my Triple Z Fold Series, and this one features the adorable Stampin’ Up! Woolly Friends Bundle. I just can’t resist that sweet sheep! The layered Z fold design creates such a fun interactive effect, yet it still folds flat to fit in a standard envelope. It looks fancy, but I promise — you don’t need to be an advanced card maker to create it.

What I love most about this Triple Z Fold card is the movement. As you open it, the panels shift and reveal dimension and layers. It’s one of those folds that makes people say “WOW!” — and honestly, that never gets old. Whether you’re making cards for friends, family, or customers, this fold adds that extra sparkle.

And can we talk about the sentiment? “You’re Simply Fab-Ewe-Lous.” I mean… come on. That’s pun perfection. If you’ve been looking for a way to make someone smile, this little sheep has you covered. Ewe make me happy!

The Stampin’ Up! Woolly Friends Bundle
I used the Woolly Friends Bundle stamps and dies to create the focal point on this card. The sheep is stamped in Memento Black and layered with coordinating dies for easy cutting. I heat embossed the sentiment in white on black cardstock for bold contrast, which really makes it pop against the circle layers.

The bundle makes it so easy to mix and match pieces — from the sheep’s body to the sweet little bell. Plus, if you’re newer to paper crafting, bundles are a great investment because the stamps and dies are designed to work perfectly together. That means less guesswork and more confidence while you create.
This bundle is perfect for birthdays, encouragement cards, thank-you notes, friendship cards, and even “just because” moments. After all, we all need a little ewe-plifting message sometimes.

Product of the Month: Painted Illusions Designer Paper
For the background panels, I used the February Product of the Month: Painted Illusions Designer Series Paper — and wow, does it blend beautifully with this design.
The Pretty Peacock pattern adds depth and structure to the Triple Z Fold arms, while the softer Petal Pink pattern keeps the overall look light and balanced. The combination gives the card a modern but cozy feel. The geometric pattern works especially well with the layered fold design because it highlights the structure of the card without overpowering the focal image.
Even though this was February’s Product of the Month, you can still add it onto your order while supplies last. Simply add the Painted Illusions Designer Paper to your cart when placing an order in my online store.
And here’s the best part — when you purchase the Product of the Month from me, you’ll receive a FREE exclusive tutorial collection featuring that product. I send these out at the end of the month, and yes — you can still receive the February Painted Illusions tutorial collection. It’s my little thank-you for supporting my Stampin’ Up! small business.

Instructions & Video Tutorial
If you’re ready to make this Triple Z Fold card, I’ve got you covered.
I’ve created written step-by-step instructions with measurements and visuals so you can clearly see how to assemble the card base and arms. Additionally, I walk you through the entire fold in my video class, showing exactly how the panels attach and how to decorate it.
The Triple Z Fold card base includes scored sections that create the layered “Z” movement, along with coordinating arms that attach in alternating directions for that interactive effect. Once the base is assembled, decorating it with the sheep and designer paper is the fun part!
