If you love interactive cards that look impressive but are actually easy to make, you are going to love today’s project. This tutorial features two accordion fold cards created with the Stampin’ Up! Road to Christmas Kit—and it’s the final project in my Road to Christmas card series.

Even better? These cards are made with repurposed kit pieces, no stamping, and just a few simple additions from my stash. They’re perfect for busy crafters, beginners, or anyone who loves a beautiful handmade card without a lot of prep.

A Fun Fold That Looks Fancy (But Isn’t Hard!)

The accordion fold is one of my favorite fun folds because it adds instant wow factor while still folding flat to fit in a standard envelope. When opened, the panels create a layered scene that feels cozy, festive, and full of charm.

For this tutorial, I created two coordinating cards using the same fold:

One accented with copper metallic paper

One accented with silver metallic paper

This makes the design easy to repeat while still giving each card its own personality.

Repurposing the Road to Christmas Kit

One of my favorite things to do is stretch kits beyond their original designs, and the Road to Christmas Kit from the Kits Collection is perfect for that.

For these cards, I repurposed:

Pre-printed scenic panels

Die-cut elements (including those adorable red trucks!)

Patterned pieces from the kit

By rearranging and layering the pieces, you can create something completely different from the original kit cards—without needing extra stamps or ink.

No Stamping, No Stress

These accordion fold cards are 100% no-stamp projects. The sentiments come from the Greetings for You Ephemera Pack, which makes this tutorial especially beginner-friendly.

If stamping ever feels intimidating—or you just want a quick and relaxing project—this is a great reminder that you can still make beautiful handmade cards without it.
