Have a Dino-Mite Time With This Pop Out Gatefold Card!
Hey crafty friends! 
I’m so rawr-ing excited to share today’s handmade card tutorial featuring the Stampin’ Up! Darling Dinos Stamp & Die Bundle. These adorable dinos are here to party—and they’ve brought their hats, balloons, and plenty of prehistoric puns along for the ride!
This is a Pop Out Gatefold Fun Fold Card, and trust me, it’s as fun to make as it is to give. When the card is closed, one cheerful dino is ready to wish someone a happy day. But open it up and—surprise! Another dino pops out with a celebratory greeting, ready to stomp into the spotlight.
Whether you’re new to card making or a seasoned paper crafter, this project is perfect for adding a little extra RAWR to your creativity.
Card Details: Let’s Talk Colors and Sparkle
To really bring these dino friends to life, I colored them with Stampin’ Blends Markers, which give them such vibrant personality. I couldn’t resist adding a bit of shimmer using Festive Glimmer Paper—because even dinos deserve a little sparkle, right?
For this card, I used a bright and happy color combo:
- Berry Burst
- Granny Apple Green
- Pumpkin Pie
- Poppy Parade
These colors just scream party time, and they work dino-rifically with the whimsical feel of the card.
But How Do I Mail It?
Great question! Even though this is a fancy fold, it folds down flat and fits into a standard Medium Stampin’ Up! Envelope. Depending on how many layers or embellishments you add, you might need to add extra postage or hand cancel it at the post office. But don’t worry—it’s totally worth it to brighten someone’s mailbox with this pop-out prehistoric surprise.

Supplies I used
I used the Fruit Salad Designer Paper for the Pumpkin Pie & Granny Apple DSP background. This paper was available during Saleabration earlier this year. If you didn’t get it, you can easily improvise with the Brights Designer paper so I’ve added that to the list.
