CARD: By The Tide – Triple Time Technique

spring-by the tide-becky morrisFun "triple time" technique using the By the Tide stamp set. Designed by Becky Morris. This technique is surprisingly easy to do. There are 3 layers of vanilla, and 3 layers of Baja Breeze, here are the measurements:

Vanilla: 5-1/4 x 4", 4-1/4" x 3" & 3-1/4" x 2"
Baja Breeze: 4-1/2" x 3-1/4" & 3-1/2" x 2-1/4"
Cajun Craze card base: 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" (fold in half)

Triple Time Stamp Technique: Simple layer all of the vanilla on top of each other without the baja breeze panel, randomly stamp your images over all 3 at once. TIP: Be sure to stamp off the edge. Then assemble all of your pieces. It's that simple!

KIT: Bloomin Bouquet Kit – hurry limited

bloomin bouquet kitMother’s Day. Teacher appreciation. Just because. Say thank you with this no-maintenance bouquet. There’s no watering, no weeding—just enjoying. This easy-to-assemble kit comes complete with the petals, stems, and buttons to create the flowers, as well as four different tags to make this the perfect gift for any occasion. All you need is some paper, ribbon, or a vase to add the finishing touches to the bouquet.

Give it to someone you wouldn’t normally think of: a teller at the bank, a grocery store clerk, or the librarian at your local library. Saying farewell to River Rock! (click for more info on the new colors) One incentive trips, we often get many "sneak peeks" from the upcoming annual catalog release. One of the most popular is the unveiling of the new In Color line. I'm sad to see colors like River Rock go, but super excited to see the new colors coming!!

CARD: You’re Amazing & Spectacular

youre amazing-selene kemptonVery fun and colorful card using the You're Amazing stamp set and coordinating World Spectacular designer series paper. A little coloring directly on the hot air balloon really add pizzazz by making it multicolored.

Created by Selene Kempton.

VIDEO: Hydrangea Wow from Best of Flowers

best of flowers - swap1Boy did Stampin Up get it spot on when they picked the Best of Flowers, March's "Best of 25 Years" collection. The Hydrangea in the set has always been a favorite, since I began stamping 10 years ago. I designed this card for a swap I'm participating in...in Fiji!

This video shows how to create the soft, beautiful and realistic coloring with simple blenders pens! The images are heat embossed in Early Espresso, and a touch of pizzaz from the Color Spritzer complete this beauty.

CARD: Liz’s Shining Moment – WOW!

Ever had a project come out soooo fantastic you couldn't wait to show it off? Today's guest blogger, Liz Miller from Stampin' with Liz, had one of those projects. She was so excited she texted it to me, and then I was so excited I couldn't wait to share it!!!!

Have you ever been so excited when you create something that you just have to share it? Well, I certainly did! As soon as I finished this card, I took a photo with my phone (of the inside of the card) and sent it to my fabulous up-line Tami White. I could tell she was super excited and couldn’t wait to share this awesome over the top card with everyone! This card is by far my shinning moment in the spotlight.

Ok, so the front of the card is very basic and plain, but wait until you scroll down to see what’s inside. Hang on to your big girl stampin’ panties! : )

VIDEO: Masked “50 Shades of Gray” Card

serene-silo-tami-whiteToday's video tutorial features an easy "masking technique". Why "50 Shades of Gray" you ask? Was it the "mask"? *blush* Or just the zany things I come out with when stamping and talking to myself when no one's looking?? Catch today's video and find out!

Beautiful in black and white, with a "shade of gray". The masking offers depth on a single layer. Originally created as a sympathy card, this could be easily used for any occasion (Birthday, congratulations, thinking of you, etc) simply by changing the greeting in the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.

CARD: Dress Up Easel Card WOW!

WOW! Check out guest blogger, Liz Miller (Stampin' with Liz), she is on fire with the Dress Up collection in the Spring Catalog:

Do you like fun folds or have you made an easel card? How do you like this little beauty? There is no much going on here from texture, color, bling and lots of it too! I have made scalloped and twisted easel cards but never one with the Floral Frames Framelits die. Pretty stinkin’ awesome, huh?
~ Liz

PROJECTS: Pomp-pom fun

Today's Pom-Pom fun is from Cindy at Stampin' Up!

This Tuesday’s Tricky Tip is dedicated to pom poms! They were big in the 60s—so it has been fun (for some of us!) to see them make a comeback in the crafting world. Let’s start with Baker’s Twine mini pom poms.

Just follow the easy steps pictured below.

If you would like to create a garland, just thread a needle with a length of Baker’s Twine and run it through the pom poms.

*****

After I finished making the Baker’s Twine pom poms, I began to wonder what would happen if I wound 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon around a fork instead of Baker’s Twine. To my surprise, the result looked very much like a marigold!

Then I thought: How can I create a bigger pom pom flower? The old-fashioned way: using cardboard donut shapes made with super-thin white cardboard, a 2-1/2" Circle Punch, a 1/2" Circle Punch, and our Daffodil Delight 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon. When I finished winding, cutting, and tying, out popped a daffodil . . . just the thing for embellishing a Mother’s Day gift! (Believe me . . . I don’t usually get this lucky!)

I could have kept going with flower-making . . . but then I saw a paper pom pom garland on Pinterest. I HAD to try that, too. The result: today’s Tricky Tip features three ways to make small pom pom projects—using Baker’s Twine, 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon, and Designer Series Paper. They are all so easy and fun!

VIDEO: Under Construction Birthday Set Card & Candy Treat Cone

under construction birthday-stampwithtami-group

Today's video is like a Snickers Bar...satisfying the "papercrafting" and "digital-crafting" sides of our creativity. Often when people learn about MDS (My Digital Studio) they think you have to chose between digital crafting or hand-crafting. Not so! I love mixing the 2 mediums for some super fun, this birthday party set is a perfect example!

This super cute handstamped Back-Ho Digger Truck birthday card (I Dig You stamps) and candy "window construction cone" set (FREE MDS Download) make perfect set for either a boy's (or mens) birthday party invitations and matching goodies OR simply as a birthday card and treat. They are so stinkin' cute. I filled the cone with tootsie rolls (flavored) because they were colorful, fun and I love them. I apologize for eating on camera, couldn't help myself lol. You could use any candy treats for the cone.

The video has 2 sections: 1) shows the hand stamped card AND 2) the steps to download the Free Cone, open it in My Digital Studio, manipulate the size and print at home on card stock.
