CARD: Open Sleigh – Part I
November 26, 2012 by
Every time I see the Open Sleigh stamp set, I just want to sing "Dashing through the snow..." lol. And it's such a pretty, classic set. This is a super fun technique using chipboard and the Big Shot impressions folder dies. You can see a video tutorial on this technique here >
CARD: Punch Santa, I mean Santa from Punches
November 23, 2012 by
Happy "Black Friday" to all! Black Friday is that crazy day when "some" of us get up at midnight, stand in line in the freezing cold and shop! It's a tradition my mom would say hehehe. Me, I like to sleep in, go to the computer and shop online in my jammies. I know I may miss out on that $10 flat screen tv that my uncle brings home each season, but somehow I survive lol. This card and post goes out to all of my crazy stamping "Santas" who are off enjoying the shopping tradition today.
I called him "Punch Santa"...but then after re-reading it sounded a little violent, so I'll change it to "Santa from Punches". Maybe by the end of the day some of you shoppers may prefer the first? hahahaha. I'll post some of his punches and info below.
VIDEO TUTORIAL: No Peeking Gift Card Holder
November 20, 2012 by
Today's video tutorial is just the stinkin' cutest gift card holder idea EVER! Check out how cute Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer is with his scarf tied over his eyes so he can't "peek". I LOVE IT! It is also a quick and easy gift card holder, and is the size of a standard card, perfect for mailing in the Stampin' Up! medium size envelope.
This idea is from my friend Cindy Baughman, from Hawaii (lucky duck).
CARD: Watercolor Winter on vellum
November 20, 2012 by
The Watercolor Winter stamp set in the 2012 Holiday Mini catalog is just a stunning set. Everything seems to turn out gorgeous with it. Today's card is no exception. The holly outline image of the set was embossed in gold on vellum card stock. The back of the card stock was color with the coordinating Stampin' Write markers. Then the vellum is layered over very vanilla card stock. The effect is stunning (even more in person). I'll post more product details below.

VIDEO TUTORIAL: Evergreen Shimmer Card
November 13, 2012 by
This beautiful card is the design of my friend Selene Kempton. It is one of those cards that make you *gasp* out loud when you see it, which is exactly what I did lol. And she was sweet enough to give one to me. The picture is nice, but doesn't do the sparkle and "wow" factor justice. In person it shines, quite literally. Using the Evergreen stamp set from the 2012 Holiday "not so mini" catalog and some other fun accessories.
Check out today's video tutorial to see how to create this shimmery master piece. You can have some fun watching me create a "new technique" when my ink decides to have a mind of it's own lol. Let's just say my version came out slightly different than the original, yet still very cool. This will really impress your loved ones this holiday season when you send it as your Christmas Card.
PROJECT: You mean so much card
November 11, 2012 by
I love the sentiment on this card - "You mean so much to so many people" is from the One in a Million stamp set (#126380 wood, #126382 clear mount). This card makes a great Thanksgiving card. It's also a great "thank you" card for many occasions. The fall theme makes it perfect for this time of year, even for birthdays.
The "wood" background is created with the Espresso Core'dinations Card Stock, run thru the Woodgrain impressions folder and then sanded. Very, very cool!!!

PROJECT: Stylin’ Snowfolk Card
November 7, 2012 by
This super cute card comes from the "build your own snowman" stamp set, also knows as Stylin' Snowfolk (126285 wood, 126287 clear mount). I love Mrs. Snowman, or is it Mrs. Snowwoman?? She so adorable with the little hat and rhinestones.
A great and fun holiday card.
PROJECT: Happy Hour Holiday fun
November 6, 2012 by
Here's a little "outside the box" fun with the Happy Hour stamp set (#126640 wood, #126642 clear mount) from Stampin' Up!. This is so fun, it turns the drink glass into a festive holiday party card with the holly leaf on top. Makes a great Christmas party invitation, or just a fun twist on a holiday card (or festive birthday card).
VIDEO TUTORIAL: Just Believe Santa Card
November 4, 2012 by
Some things have to be believed to be seen...Just Believe is just perfect for this Santa Christmas card. We are totally rockin' "outside the box" with this video. Not only did we bring the Just Believe Stamp Set "outside the flower box", but check out Santa's beard made with the Apothecary Accents framelit die! And while I'm on a roll, how about this belt buckle made with the scallop square die. I love finding fun uses for stamp sets and products.
This card makes a great card for those with big holiday xmas card lists as it's really quick, easy and super stinkin' cute! It also is fairly flat and is easy to mail. This standard size card fits the SU Medium Whisper White Envelope #107301

VIDEO TUTORIAL: Dazzling Dryer Sheet Holiday Sparkle
October 30, 2012 by
Put a little "bounce" in your holiday cards! And by Bounce, I mean dryer sheets...really. Re-use and re-cycle right? This card is simply breath-taking in person, and gets more compliments than any other in my displays. Catch my quick video tutorial below to see how to recycle your dryer sheets into something gorgeous.
VIDEO TUTORIAL: Foliage Masking Beauty
October 26, 2012 by
Check out this beauty with a "faux layer" adding depth and dimension to a simple card. This card was inspired by my friend Lynsay Mahon. Recently, Lynsay and I were challenged to design a "2 layer" swap card for Stampin' Up! Founders Circle. It sounds easy enough to do, but sometimes we think in "layers" (like an onion) and designing a "simple" card was quite the challenge lol. As you can see, simple can be gorgeous! A few more tips included in this video are: shimmer mist spritz (for sparkle and shine) and using the brayer to make a matching envelope.

"If I only had a brain...." ~ Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz
This scarecrow is so stinkin' cute, he doesn't need the "brains" to look good! Fill him up with goodies and he's a candy treat box that's the perfect gift this Fall / Halloween gift season. Also makes great party favors. Check out today's video tutorial for a quick and fun box made from the Stampin' Up! Fancy Favor box and Top Note dies and a few punches, along with some tips.
Inspired by my friend Regina Maginnis, watch the video for a fun story about Regina and the Big Shot she used to make this box.

Holiday Framelits fun with Ribbon
October 18, 2012 by
At first glance, you may miss the coolest part about this super fun card...the Holiday Framelits shapes (Christmas tree, Candy Cane and Gingerbread man) were all made out of ribbon! Then they were outlined with the White gel pen for a cool effect.
The ribbons were attached with our fabric adhesive, then cut. Very fun!!!
