The wreath is stamped in Lemon Lime Twist, the flowers were stamped in Flirty Flamingo. The background is textured with the Retiring Simple Stripes folder. Today is an exciting day, not only is our annual Stampin' for Autism Blog Hop, but the one and only Veronica Zalis will be guest blogging. Earlier this month I ran my Rainbows for Autism Fundraiser. Cam is a happy kid. We don't focus on the more challenging aspects of his life, instead we celebrate the things he does well. Cam loves all things Disney, Dr Seuss, and he is always listening to music, believe it or not one of his current faves is a song by Pink Floyd! By now, we all know someone with autism, or perhaps even a family member. If I could leave you with one word that we need so much more of, it would be compassion. We've all seen the parent or caretaker struggling in a store, at school, walking across a parking lot. If you can, take a moment to silently, or verbally offer a word or look of encouragement. If you are able to lend a hand to a care taker in need that is even better. One small gesture of kindness could make all the difference in the world. Beautiful "God is love" card from the Stampin' Up! Hold on to Hope bundle. The outline of the cross is cut from Gold Foil and layered over Whisper White. The ornate flowers were stamped in Lemon-Lime Twist and Wisteria Wonder. Today's "wishing you a lovely day" card is created with the Stampin Up Flying Home and Lovely Wishes stamp sets. Both featured in the Occasions Catalog. This is my last installment in my series featuring this stamp set. The images were colored with ink pads and blender pens. Layered with the Decorative Ribbon Border punch. We can make a difference and celebrate autism with awareness, research, education, appreciation, inclusion and acceptance. From April 1-15 when you order my Special Edition Rainbows for Autism Kit I will donate $15 for each kit sold to OAR - Organization for Autism Research. My goal is to raise $1,500 for OAR, the organization supports families, education, and autism research.
