NEWS: Stampin’ Up!’s OnStage Event Recaps, Sneak Peeks and more – Episode 77

STAMPIN' UP ON STAGE

April 2019 Stampin' Up!'s Onstage Events wrapped up this weekend. This is an epic event, held twice a year for demonstrators of any level who love to craft, learn new techniques, get new products and best of all...get the new catalog! The events took place simoulanteaously across the US & Canada (and around the world). My Stamp It demo group were spread out at their local locations. I love that we have family every where we go. For many this was the first time ever coming to a Stampin Up event, and even meeting our stamping family in person. Since we share with each other on our facebook group, it feels like we've known each other for years. In addtion to getting sneak peeks at the new catalog, I got to debut my Million Dollar stamp set called "Capture the Good". Papercrafting and Photography are my two favorite things, and I love that I could combine them into this set. We designed it to go with the circle punches and dies. I did a presentation sharing many different ways to use the set. I'll share some on the sneak peek video too.

Smile you on candid camera! Eclipse card from the special Capture the Good stamp set

WELCOME

Blog hopping with the Stampin Up Incentive Trip Achievers. This blog hop is always filled with amazing ideas, from a few of the company's Top Demonstrators. It’s an honor to be a part of this, and I know you’re going to enjoy these projects. Our theme this month we are featuring Sneak Peeks from the upcoming Annual catalog. I am blessed to be able to share something special and very personal for my Blog Hop project today. It's featuring a brand new Stampin' Up stamp set called "Capture the Good" that I designed for being a Million Dollar Seller in the company. I've waited a loooong time for this debut. Papercrafting is my first love, and photography is my 2nd. With this stamp set I was able to put them both together. I've included the video of my presentation at the Atlantic City OnStage event featuring tons of ideas, and different ways to use this stamp set. My card share is the Eclipse technique featuring the camera from the Capture the Good stamp set, and "SMILE" from the Large Letters Dies. If you haven't made an Eclipse card , they are so fun and easy. I have a video here showing how to make them. But be warned, these Large Letters dies are retiring and will only be available "while supplies last". Be sure to pick yours up asap if you don't have them yet.   [caption id="attachment_43610" align="alignnone" width="640"] Here's the stamp set! At the moment I may have the only copy of it outside of Stampin Up's home office. But soon everyone can get your hands on this.[/caption]

Out with the old, in with the New! New cutting systems are coming, Big Shot & Trimmer are retiring and what that means

The 2019–2020 annual catalog launch is just around the corner. This means many products in the current catalog will be discontinued / "retired". The complete list of Retiring Products will be officially announced on Monday, April 15. We have just been made aware of some exciting news. Stampin' Up will be releasing a brand new Die Cutting System, and a new Paper Trimmer! This means our current Big Shot and Accessories, and Paper Trimmer and accessories will be retired. It also means we won't be getting more in, so what is in stock is "while supplies last".

HOW WILL IT AFFECT YOU?

  • There will be a gap in time between when the Big Shot and the Stampin’ Trimmer retire with this current catalog (or sell out) until the time when the new products are available (we don’t know exactly how long this will be, but there will NOT be a Big Shot or a paper trimmer in the new 2019-2020 catalog in June)
  • If you need to stock up on some Stampin’ Trimmer supplies, do that soon. They have ordered what they hope to be a 6 month supply of trimmer blades, but they could go quickly. (Links below)
  • Continue to use your Big Shot or other die cutting machine with all Stampin’ UP! embossing folders and dies
  • Watch for a new style of dies and embossing folders in the new 2019-2020 catalog! Continue to use them with your current die cutting machine.
  • Dies, embossing folders and trimmer accessory items could sell out quickly, so shop early and don’t wait for the retiring list on Monday, April 15 to place your order if you have had your eye on any of the current dies or folders!

ONLINE CLASS & VIDEO: How to make Z Fold cards and March Paper Pumpkin

CARDS

I had a little too much fun (is there such a thing?) with the "Poppin' Birthdays" March Paper Pumpkin kit. I decided to make Z fold alternate cards with the kit pieces. They were so much fun, I couldn't stop creating. Since the kit is sold out, and we can't get refills, I decided to do an "outside the box" card using the Stampin' Up Better Together stamp set and Broadway Bound designer series paper (wedding card). The silver card is a "hybrid" of the kit and the Better Together stamp set. These make great wedding and birthday cards. April Kits: Don't miss the April kit deadline to subscribe, it's April 10. Click here to learn more and subscribe. Video: I will be recording this class video live. It's free to join in live and be part of the video. If you can't make it live, the recorded video will always be available here on my blog, Facebook and/or Youtube. Prize Patrol! I’ve got a couple of these "sold out" kits to giveaway for prize patrol on this class. I also have some bonus Broadway Star kits. Comment on the video to enter. I’ll be drawing prizes for both live and replay viewers.
