Sets of Shimmery Cards & PPX Blog Hop
I’m honored to be part of the PPX crew, which is a super talented group of demonstrators who share Paper Pumpkin alternate project videos with our customers each month. Each month my subscribers receive 6 videos of alternate projects for that month’s kit, in addition to my regular alternates. In addition we are doing Shimmery Cards & PPX Blog Hop to share even more alternate ideas
My PPX Blog Hop project for the November 2021 Gifts Galore Paper Pumpkin kit are these shimmery cards created with the kit and the In Color Shimmery Vellum! This vellum is just delicious and gives a rich appearance of shimmer to these cards. I have complete instructions and product list below.
PAPER PUMPKIN
This paper pumpkin kit was so popular, the refills sold out in a nano second. So many have been looking for extras and I don’t have any, sorry. Don’t let this happen to you, be sure to subscribe to the December kit.

I used the Stampin’ Up Shimmery Vellum to create all of these shimmery cards.
I cut some of the extra packages and attached them over the other packages with Stampin’ Dimensionals to add some pop to this card.
The greeting Heat Embossed in white on the Shimmer Vellum is stricking. The words come from the Stampin’ Up Happiest of Birthdays Stamp Set.
Here I’ve shared the gift box and the packages die cuts per the instructions. And 2 of my alternates using the same die cut from the Gifts Galore Kit. You will find instructions for the gift card holder shown in Pool Party on my video here.
I used the Stampin Up Artistry Blooms Sequins for the lights on the tree on this card.
The words are from the Encircled in Warmth stamp set and heat embossed in white.
I added one of the extra presents from the present die cut with the tree.
Here I’ve shown the Christmas Tree treat box per the Paper Pumpkin kit instructions and 2 alternates that I’ve created with the same die cut. The Santa stamp comes from the Be Jolly stamp set. I have video instructions for both the Money Holder Card and the Gift card holder.
I added additional color to the snowman’s ear muffs with Stampin’ Blends markers. I also added some color to the carrot nose with Stampin’ Blends.
I used the Stampin’ Up Peach dies to create the stick arm for the snowma.
I’ve shown 2 of my alternates with the original snowman treat box as per the kit’s instructions. You’ll find instructions for the money holder kit here.
Holy Moley! You went all out! Such cheerful and fun alternates, Tami! Thanks for sharing.
Awww thanks my friend! I love yours too!! You always have such great ideas.
Great cards! I can’t wait to try these. I haven’t worked with vellum before. I don’t see in the tutorial how and when to use it.
Hi Brenda and thank you! The In Color Shimmer Vellum is the main panel of the card. Use it as you would DSP or card stock. I heat embossed on it in Steps 1 & 2 and attached it over the Basic White card stock (shown in the cuts) with Seal Adhesive.
It’s pretty amazing to work with. See more of it ….
