These fun-to-wear fabric flower pins are just amazing! My friend BJ Peters taught us how to create these using fleece (as in polar fleece) fabric at our 3rd annual Stampin Up Demonstrator Extravaganza last Saturday. I created this video tutorial (below) to demonstrate how easy these are to make.
These great fabric flowers are all the rage, I’ve seen them for sale in boutiques for $20+ up! Wow, they were selling for the same price as 1 of the Big Shot dies I used to make them!! Talk about paying for itself in no time, you can create one for each outfit.
The flowers are so fun and easy to make, even a “non-sewer” like myself can do this…no sewing machine necessary lol! Just some circles cut from the Big Shot die cut machine (yes, really, circles) a needle and thread and you’re on your way…and if I can do it anyone can. Those of you who sew will get a kick out of my “amature” stitching in the video. The inspiration sheet includes a picture of the supplies and circles you’ll need to create the flowers, be sure to print it off and jot down some notes on it as you watch the video.
Try using different colors of fleece/felt or fabrics together to create fun effects like these, you can make the flowers in 2 sizes from the Circles #2 die, either using the 3 smallest or 3 largest circles (flowers shown use the 3 largest). The sassy, feathered skull and crossbones is my favorite, I designed that one in honor of my friend Leasa Williams. BJ put some of hers on one of the Big Shot bags she made with the scallop square die.

This is awesome. For a non sewer, it was perfect to show how to attach each petal.
Tammy: This was an amazing Tutorial – LOVE LOVE LOVE (did I say I LOVE) these flowers. BJ ROCKS! May I share this project with my SW Stampers (SU) Group?
