VIDEO TUTORIAL: Watercoloring & Double Impression Folders

Today’s video tutorial is a card I created for my stamp club, and I loved it so much it became my swap for Stampin’ Up! Founders Circle Retreat. Using the Always Thankful Stamp Set (123787 wood, 123789 clear mount) stamp set from the Holiday Mini Catalog.

I used several techniques, including water coloring with aqua painters & ink pads.  What I think is the coolest part, is something you don’t notice at first glance. The frame shape in the middle was created with the new Designer Frames Impression folder (123130), and it was embossed over the Square Lattice impressions folder (119976). I had some fun figuring out how to make this work, so one folder didn’t flatten out the other. Turns out I just had to fall back on the “partial impression embossing” technique that I presented at the SU Hartford, CT Regional Event (click here for video technique >). VIDEO TUTORIAL: Witches Boot Treat Box

Soooo stinkin’ cute, this Witch Boot Treat Box goodie holder is just to die for!! Perfect for Halloween. Inspired by the Dynamic Duo Susan Adams & Janet Baker (see theirs below). This witch is stylin’. Just insert candy into this fun box and you’ll be the hit of every Halloween party. Check out the video below and see how easy this fantastic project is. Change it up, make it white and use it for wedding favors and more!

To the right is another version of the box that Susan & Janet designed. Their witches boot uses the Mocha Morning Specialty paper (122366), and Silver Glimmer Paper (124117), instead of spritzing the shimmer paint we dabbed it on with sponge daubers.

VIDEO TUTORIAL: Flower Garden Shimmer

 My video tutorials are back! After breaking my thumb in a motorcycle accident (click here for details) videos had to get put on hold for a few a little while. I’ve missed them! This video was filmed before the accident (what a nice looking right thumb!) for my stamp club last month. I’m finally able to get back to both filming and editing (yeah!!!).

I LOVE this card, it’s so pretty. Along with the new Flower Garden Impressions Folder, it also sports some “shimmer” and a fun label technique. VIDEO: Punch Doggie Card

Topping my “Stinkin-Cute-O-Meter” is this week’s video, it is the cutest dog card!! The doggie is made with Stampin’ Up! circle and oval punches. And to add to the fun, make an “impression” with Impression folders. Learn how to create this cool square frame using the Framed Tulips Impressions folder. I’ll also demonstrate how to use the Paper Piercer and SU Template (from the Mat Pack) to create the finishing touch on this master piece. I received this card as a swap from Cindi Kugell at a Stampin’ Up! event, thanks Cindi!!

VIDEO: Easter Bunny and Chick boxes

Are you ready for super stinkin’ cuteness?! I’ve had so many people ask for these, that I’m reposting this from last Easter. The Bunny and Chickie boxes are made from the Big Shot Top Note die and Fancy Favor Box Die. You could also use these cuties on a card, over a goody bag, as a tag, place setting or just about anything! So versitile, and great for spring, beyond Easter. The bunny box was inspired by my friend BJ Peters.

VIDEO TUTORIAL: Beautiful Bonnet Favor Boxes

Ever wonder what to do with all of your left over SU brad and button plastic containers? One person’s trash (recycling) is another’s treasure. One more way to go ”green” and use it all with today’s video tutorial making these cool hat containers. Created by my friend Christy Harsh, these hat shaped favor boxes are made with empty SU plastic containers OR we also sell empty containers, called Stampin’ Store containers (103649).

Perfect for Easter treats, Bridal Shower Favors (click here for more wedding ideas w/ my Cyber Wedding Expo), or just jazz up your embellishments. Fill an empty container with chocolate candy, or other treats and treasures.
