VIDEO TUTORIAL: Batman Box & Card - 100th Video!
Posted on September 3rd, 2010, 3 responses.
I’m very excited to be presenting my 100th YouTube Video Tutorial!! WAHOO!! This Batman Chocolate Matchbox treat holder was inspired by one of my favorite roller coasters…Batman The Dark Knight. Originally, I’d made the blue box and matching card. Was stamping with the kids and friends, and my friend Shayna designed the black box with the spotlight and we just about flipped out over it. That become the new winner of the 100th Video, and it tops the stinkin’ cute-o-meter!
A quick and easy project for the Batman fan in your life, using my favorite new punch the Bat Punch and the Matchbox die for the Big Shot. As you’ll see, not only is the box fun, I had a blast making this video, from my son’s Batman mood ring to some special effects (including my own Batman sound effects for the big shot hehehe).

VIDEO TUTORIAL: Chic Fleece Flower Pins
Posted on May 27th, 2010, 2 responses.
These fun-to-wear fabric flower pins are just amazing! My friend BJ Peters taught us how to create these using fleece (as in polar fleece) fabric at our 3rd annual Stampin Up Demonstrator Extravaganza last Saturday. I created this video tutorial (below) to demonstrate how easy these are to make.
These great fabric flowers are all the rage, I’ve seen them for sale in boutiques for $20+ up! Wow, they were selling for the same price as 1 of the Big Shot dies I used to make them!! Talk about paying for itself in no time, you can create one for each outfit.
The flowers are so fun and easy to make, even a “non-sewer” like myself can do this…no sewing machine necessary lol! Just some circles cut from the Big Shot die cut machine (yes, really, circles) a needle and thread and you’re on your way…and if I can do it anyone can. Those of you who sew will get a kick out of my “amature” stitching in the video. The inspiration sheet includes a picture of the supplies and circles you’ll need to create the flowers, be sure to print it off and jot down some notes on it as you watch the video.
Try using different colors of fleece/felt or fabrics together to create fun effects like these, you can make the flowers in 2 sizes from the Circles #2 die, either using the 3 smallest or 3 largest circles (flowers shown use the 3 largest). The sassy, feathered skull and crossbones is my favorite, I designed that one in honor of my friend Leasa Williams. BJ put some of hers on one of the Big Shot bags she made with the scallop square die.

VIDEO TUTORIAL: Vellum Stained Glass
Posted on May 24th, 2010, 2 responses.
Here is an incredibly gorgeous card using a vellum “stained glass” technique for my series this week on the Elements of Style stamp set. It is so easy, and beautiful to do. This card also features the new Square Lattice impressions textured folder for the Big Shot Die Cut machine, which has fast become a favorite of mine. Designed by my friend and downline, Sue McQuiston.

VIDEO TUTORIAL: Cracked Glass Butterfly
Posted on May 18th, 2010, one response.
Watch your stress melt-away with this “stress relief” card, the tearing, crumpling and color spritzing techniques really work it out! And just wait until you get to the cracked glass technique on the butterfly, it looks like a family heirloom. You’ll love this gorgeous installment in my series this week on the Elements of Style stamp set. Designed by my friend and downline, Jenni Ingerick.

Join me for today’s video, where we’ll be making a super cool Graduation Cap Gift card holder! Set to impress your favorite graduate both inside and out OR use this cool idea for Graduation party invitations. A cool hinged scallop square cap/card, with slots to hold your gift card inside. Make this with your grads’s school colors simply by changing the grosgrain ribbon tassel. Listen for a cameo from my 9 year old son, his video debut:)

VIDEO TUTORIAL: King of the Grill & Stinkin’ Cute-o-meter
Posted on May 9th, 2010, 3 responses.
It’s a BTU-tiful thing! This stamp set is soooo funny!! Check out the burnt edges of this card, and the new King of the Grill stamp set is just hilarious. Perfect for Father’s Day and more. This card was designed by my friend and Team Stamp It member, Dawn Gutro. The video demonstrates how to make this over the top “stinkin’ cute” card. This card tops the charts on my new “Stinkin’ Cute-o-meter“!
Introducing my new “Stinkin’ Cute-o-meter”! Some cards are gorgeous, elegant, man-ly and some are just plain stinkin’ cute. If you’ve seen my videos, you know you can judge a project’s “cuteness” by how many “stinkin’ cutes” I give it in the video. It’s almost like a college drinking game, every time Tami says “stinkin’ cute” you take a sip of your drink (kidding). The catch phrase has turned me into “The Stinkin’ Cute Lady”. I now have my very own “Stinkin’ Cute-o-meter“, for these cards that are over the top.

VIDEO TUTORIAL: Shimmery Pastels Technique
Posted on April 23rd, 2010, no responses.
This is a super stinkin’ cool, beautiful technique called Shimmery Pastels. It uses the Beautiful Wings embosslit (118138in the Occasions mini catalog), shimmer paint (see below for ordering info) and Stampin Pastels! Although the photo looks great, it’s even more gorgeous in person where the butterflies completely jump off the card. So very, very cool and yet so easy to do. This short video tutorial demonstrates how to create this beautiful card.
Don’t forget the Occasions mini catalog and my customer appreciation special ends April 30.

VIDEO TUTORIAL: Scallop Circle 3-D Flowers
Posted on April 17th, 2010, 7 responses.
Check out this gorgeous vintage 3-d card made by a Cullen (and I’m not talking about Edward you crazy Twilight fans…mind off the Vampire hehehe)! This was made by my downline, Linda Cullen (who may be related - kidding). Linda created this for our demo group shoebox swapthis past week. It is just stunning in person! Not only does this video demonstrate how to achieve this “aged” look, it demonstrates how to use the Spiral book binding punch and 3-d flowers using the scallop circle punch. Packed full of great tips!

VIDEO TUTORIAL: Bunny & Chickie Boxes
Posted on March 30th, 2010, 7 responses.
Are you ready for super stinkin’ cuteness?! Join me for today’s video, created while I was preparing for Easter this weekend making these adorable box buddies. The Bunny and Chickie boxes are made from the Big Shot Top Note die and Fancy Favor Box Die. You could also use these cuties on a card, over a goody bag, as a tag, place setting or just about anything! So versitile, and great for spring, beyond Easter. The bunny box was inspired by my friend BJ Peters. BJ is a mastermind with the big shot, and is doing a presentation at this years Demo Extravaganza called “Supersize Your Big Shot” (click here for more info).
