VIDEO TUTORIAL: Batman Box & Card - 100th Video!

I’m very excited to be presenting my 100th YouTube Video Tutorial!! WAHOO!! This Batman Chocolate Matchbox treat holder was inspired by one of my favorite roller coasters…Batman The Dark Knight. Originally, I’d made the blue box and matching card.  Was stamping with the kids and friends, and my friend Shayna designed the black box with the spotlight and we just about flipped out over it.  That become the new winner of the 100th Video, and it tops the stinkin’ cute-o-meter!

A quick and easy project for the Batman fan in your life, using my favorite new punch the Bat Punch and the Matchbox die for the Big Shot. As you’ll see, not only is the box fun, I had a blast making this video, from my son’s Batman mood ring to some special effects (including my own Batman sound effects for the big shot hehehe).

Halloween House of Haunts fun

It’s time to start breaking out the Halloween fun! This card was shared at my last demonstrator meeting, it is just amazing! Created with the House of Haunts (111574), From the Crypt (115460) and Graveyard Gala (115458) Stamp Sets. The front uses the new Stampin’ Up Vintage Wallpaper (120175) embossing folder for the Big Shot. The inside cloud background was created using the scallop circle punch technique (see Hooty the Owl video for instructions >) The background also uses Bring on the Bats (120326) & Haunting Hill (116539) jumbo wheels.

VIDEO TUTORIAL: Hooty the Owl

 Hoot! Hoot! My videos are back, and we are kicking it off in super stinkin’ cute style with this Hooty the Owl - owl punch tree window card. On top of creating the cutest, easiest owl, I’ll demonstrate how to make this super cool cloudy background for the inside of the card. Special thanks to Jill Hillard for this awesome design.

BABW Fun Cards

 Whether you’re a Build a Bear Workshop junkie, or not, you can’t help but love these cool “fun card” ideas using the Stampin’ Up BABW product line! I just love this tropical card, with the bears in Hawaiin shirts and hula skirts! Soooo stinkin’ cute!

Build-a-Bear Workshop Paper Dollhouse

This is the coolest BABW (Build-Bear-Workshop) card, it folds out into a bear paper dollhouse! It was on display at Stampin’  Up!’s annual convention in July. Just the coolest stinkin’ idea! The first photo shows the “arial” view, you can see the 4 rooms. Below I’ll post some rooms individually, check out the clever uses for the SU punches, BABW stamps, and designer papers.

My Digital Studio Scrapbooking

Here are some super cool My Digital Studio (MDS) scrapbook page layouts from another Tami W., my up-up-line Tami Waddell. She is really great with digital layouts, and she gave me her permission to share a couple she did of her family.

This first page she used the stamp set World Tour Brush Set (#119103 - $3.95) & Rough Type Alphabet stamp brush (#121066 - $9.95).

This second page Tami used stamp brushes, paper and accessories that are included in the original software.

She had these professionally printed directly through the MDS program, then she “hybrid” by added some coordinating embellishments.

A present from Dawn! Vroom Vroom

My friend Dawn Griffith’s recently became a “Harley Mama” when her hubby got a new Harley Davidson motorcycle. I got my new Harley the week before convention, and she brought me this shirt from the Harley shop in Michigan!! THANKS DAWN!!! Here’s a picture of the two of us “Biker Babes”, I love this picture. What you can’t see is my formal gown under the shirt…should’ve put it on for the total “Cyndi Lauper” style effect hehehe.

Here’s a cool display sample from convention using the Motorcycle stamp and polished stone technique. I have a video tutorial here of another sample demonstrating how to do this technique with ink pad refills, super cool stuff!!!

Welcome to the Sweet Shop! This was an entire display “shop” set up at Stampin’ Up!’s convention this year. It was the coolest thing!!

Everything in the sweet shop was made of stamps, ink, paper and SU embellishments, but it all looked real enough to eat! Amazing. Here are some highlights.

Artistic Etchings Newsprint

 This simple, vintage Artistic Etchings (118517 wood, 102573 clear mount) card also used the new Newsprint Designer Series paper (117166) and the new Vintage Wallpaper impressions folder (120175). A little sponging with cherry cobbler on the edges, and a spritz gives this card the perfect amount of “vintage”.

Convention or Bust! Salt Lake City here I come

As this post makes it’s way to my blog, I’m heading out to Salt Lake City, UT for Stampin’ Up’s Annual convention!! I’m soooo stinkin’ excited I can hardly stand it. I will have lots to share from the event. One of my favorite parts of any stampin’ event is swapping, this is one of my swaps that I’m bringing. It was designed by Ellen Quinton, she used the “Because I Care” Hostess stamp set.

The background is the new Presto Patterns Specialty paper (117175) brayered with sahara sand ink. Very cool effect!

Artistic Etchings Card

 I love this stamp set! It’s brand new in the 2010-2011 Stampin Up Idea Book and Catalog, called Artistic Etchings (118517 wood, 120573 clear mount). This card was created by my downline Teresa Howe. She also used the Perfect Punches stamp set (117022 wood, 120516 clear mount) and the newsprint Designer series paper (117166).
