VIDEO: How to create a Rainbow Watercolor Wash Technique

stampinup hello sale a bration stamp set

CARD

Today’s amazing rainbow in the clouds “wow” card is part 2 in my 2 part series on Watercolor Wash background techniques (click for the first card). The rainbow is created with 7 different ink pads, and it’s so easy to do. Going outside the box with the Tree Builder punch, turning trees into clouds.

I used the Stampin Up Sale-a-Bration Hello stamp set, which is only available until February 15, 2016. Click for more details on  2016 Sale-a-bration (click here). If you are watching this after Feb. 15, check out my alternate stamp set suggestions below. Inspired by Eimer Carvill.

Tip: I forgot to use the emboss buddy before stamping the words on the video. This step prevents excess emboss powder sticking where you don’t want it. My final example had a few flecks because I missed this step.

STAMP SET SUBSTITUTIONS

I put together this list of stamp set subs, in case you are watching this after Feb. 15 and the “Hello” stamp set is no longer available. Bold, solid word images work best.
