The “dryer sheet” technique is one of my most popular videos ever (click here or scroll below). It is so easy and beautiful, I used it again to create this swap card for Stampin’ Up Leadership in Houston a couple of weeks ago.
Along with the dryer sheet technique, I used the Woodgrain impressions folder for the background and rubbed white craft ink over the top “direct to paper”.

This card is beautiful!
Thanks for this great video. I can’t wait to try out this great dryer sheet technique.
Thanks for more great Stampin Up ideas.
When you use this technique, how much glitter falls off the card?? I love it, but my husband doesn’t love glitter as much as I do. 🙂
Hi Kim, if you flick the back really good you will release most of any “loose” powder. You can also spray lightly with hairspray. but honestly, I haven’t noticed much (if any) glitter fall out. Tami
It is most definitely a WOW card!!!! Here I come Walmart for all of your bounce dryer sheets!! LOL
I made one of these cards using recycled dryer sheet it really does have a WOW factor when you get it done. Thanks for showing us again so I didn’t forget how beautiful they really are.
Will an added greeting stick to the front of the card after it has been glittered, or will the glitter prevent good adhesion? I would like to add a popped up greeting if possible.
Hi Tami – this is a fun technique to do – I have been sharing it with my stamp club ladies for about 3 years now – instead of the spray adhesive we use a Xyron machine – that is how I learned to do it – can’t remember where I originally learned from – we usually use Lovely As a Tree or a couple of the Thomas Kincaid stamps that I have – one of my gals has a background stamp that is all butterflies so we did try that one – we used Pretty in Pink & Raspberry Ripple. I will check to see if I have any photos of them and email them to you.
