VIDEO: Monstermaniacs Celebrate Card

Today's video is over the top in stinkin' cuteness! From the Monstermaniacs Stamp Set #134972...maybe he's a monster, maybe he's an alien. You decide. Either way, I love him! The card/video offers some cool techniques, the background of the card is flattened in a technique I'm lovingly referring to as "waffling", a little masking and some sponging make him pop off the card. In the video, an accidental goof up makes a great twist on the card - check it out below and tell me which one you like the best.

Perfect for the boys in your life, and even for the monster lovin' gals.

This card is a CASE from Diana Gibbs, thank you for the idea! I also colored a few rhinestones with a black sharpie marker for the spiders bodies, I love how it looks! The raven image is very Edgar Allen Poe to me, what do you think?

CARD: Halloween Hello Bats

This super cute Halloween card was created by Margaret Galvez. She was giving it away with one of our gift card raffles at our "Stamp Out Breast Cancer" event last weekend. Margaret masked the moon, and sponged around it. You can view a similar technique in my Witch over the Moon video featuring the same stamp set, just using a smaller circle punch and different colors. The colors here are Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Elegant Eggplant.

VIDEO: Joyful Christmas Poinsettia WOW

Today's video is of this gorgeous Christmas Poinsettia card from the Stampin Up Joyful Wishes stamp set in the 2013 Holiday Catalog. I'll show you how to create this stunning colored vellum technique so easy you'll flip. A little heat embossing makes creating this card extra fun.

My nails are hot pink in honor of our 4th Annual "Stamp Out Breast Cancer" event this past Saturday where thanks to your help we were able to raise over $3,200 for Making Strides Against Breast cancer! (click for more)

NEWS: Thank you! We raised over $3200 for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

Thank you ALL who supported our 4th Annual "Stamp Out Breast Cancer" event - WE DID IT!!!!

Not only did we meet our goal of $3000, we blew it away - together we raised over $3200 for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer!! WAHOOO!!! {insert applause here}. We are so excited, we had a most awesome day of stamping, fun, friends and PRIZES!!! OMG!! The raffles were amazing. I already can't wait for next year!

One of the many things I love about Stampin Up, is how we can use it to help others. Join me and our team of demonstrators and help us raise money for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer while having some stamping fun.

Last years keynote speaker/survivor's had some very powerful words. She said "Last year, I attended this event and was encouraged to go get a mammogram. You talked about the importance of early detection. I was diagnosed, treated, and today, I stand before you Cancer free, Thank you." Talk about changing lives!

VIDEO: Santa’s List Christmas Card

Stinkin' adorable Christmas card using the Stampin' Up Santa's List stamp set from the Holiday Catalog. The video shows how to create this super cute card, and a few variations that make it easy to "mass produce" for your Holiday Card List.

Original created by Catherine Sanders. Here's how she the background as shown...in the video I will be using the Dictionary stamp for the background:

"The background was created in MDS... I typed out the lyrics to "Santa Claus is coming to town", using the Typewriter-Serial-ExtraBold Font in crumb cake ink. I created it in a custom size of 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and then when I exported the .jpg, I opened it into a pages (equivalent to word) document, cut and pasted it 4 times and then spaced them out into the 4 quadrants. Printed it borderless on my printer on Crumb Cake card stock and voila!!"

We've created a way for you to help us design and choose new stamp sets--In with You (beta program). Our artists have no shortage of stamp set ideas, but this contest gives us a chance to innovate with our customers in a social media setting--and get their perspective and endorsement before the set is available. The In with You program is currently open to anyone (demonstrators, customers, etc.) in the United States and Canada, including District of Columbia, APO/FPO, and Puerto Rico, but not Québec. So spread the word!

CARD: Festive Flurry Holiday Photo Card

Check out this gorgeous Christmas / Holiday photo card from Rachel Tessman. Love, love, love the fold on it, I've posted the base measurements below. The snowflakes on the front are from the Festive Flurry stamp set in the Holiday catalog. They are heat embossed in white, with a little sponging over for effect. The silver glimmer circle on the front was attached with dimensionals so it holds the "gate fold" closed.

PROJECT: Halloween Reeses Candy Treat

Today's super cute Halloween candy treat project comes from Liz Miller, of Stampin' with Liz. Liz made a quick candy treat bag and tag using the Chalk Talk framelit tag and Halloween Bash stamp set. The medium cello bag fits the reeses candy perfectly for quick and easy goody bags for parties and school treats.

NEWS: World Card Making Day is today – Contest

World Cardmaking Day is this Saturday, October 5, and to celebrate Stampin' Up! is holding a contest you won't want to miss. After all, what's not to love about a holiday dedicated to card makers worldwide?!

There are two ways to enter:

E-mail a photo of a card, or of you making a card, made with Stampin' Up! product on World Cardmaking Day to wcmd2013@stampinup.com.
Post a photo of a card, or of you making a card, made with Stampin' Up! product on World Cardmaking Day on Instagram. Mention us by typing @stampinup and use the hashtag #wcmd2013 in the description.

This contest is open to everyone-demonstrators, customers, friends, spouses, children . . . you get the idea. However, there are a few conditions:

You must be over the age of 18 to win a prize.
You can enter as many times as you wish, but each entry must feature a different card.
Contest will last all day on October 5, from 12:01 AM to 12:00 PM.
We will randomly select 100 winners from our North American markets to receive a Paper Pumpkin Kit (valued at $19.95 US/ $20.95 CA)*, and we will select 50 winners from our South Pacific and European markets to receive the Naughty and Nice Rotary Stamp and Season of Style Designer Washi Tape.

VIDEO: Happy Halloween Witch on a Broom

I created this card for the Stampin' Up Founders Circle retreat in St. George, UT last month. I love the witch on the broom flying over the moon! Too stinkin' cute. Catch the video for my "witches laugh"...hmmmm I'm thinking my kids should be worried after I nailed it lol. You'll flip for how easy the Chevron contrasting background is to create. And of course, what's Halloween Season without a little "masking" technique *ba-dump-bump" LOL!
