RETIRING: Happy 1st Birthday Card from Sweet Cupcakes

CARD

"Sweet" {pun intended} Happy 1st Birthday card from the retiring Stampin Up Sweet Cupcakes & Number of Years stamp sets and dies. Paying a tribute to the Large Number dies (RIP). I am going to be lost without them, they are perfect for birthday and anniversary cards. They are retiring (While supplies last or May 31) and as of this morning still available in my online store. The coordinating Large Letters aren't retiring (whew). We used those on Saturday's Eclipse card in my online class. BLOG HOP & GIVEAWAY: How to make a set of Mother’s Day Eclipse “Wow” cards

BLOG HOP PROJECT

Welcome to my Stamp It Demonstrator’s Group Mother's Day Theme Blog Hop. We’re all really excited to unveil our projects, and announce a new contest give-away (below). To continue on your journey through our projects, simply use the BLOG HOPPERS links below. My project share is how to create this set of Mother's Day cards from the retiring Stampin Up Tranquil Tulips Hostess Stamp Set and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets. All 3 feature a unique "pop", including 2 different styles of Eclipse Card techniques. One great part of the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set is that it is full of greetings, and you can simply switch the "Happy Mother's Day" greeting on the front with "Happy Birthday", "Congratulations", or "With Sympathy" to make this card design work for many different occasions.   TRANQUIL TULIPS SUBSTITUTION [caption id="attachment_38655" align="alignnone" width="300"] Stampin Up Bunch of Blossoms Stamp Set #141573[/caption] The Tranquil Tulips stamp set is a hostess stamp set. This means it's a special edition set available with Stampin' Rewards, which are "free dollars" you can earn with hosting a workshop, placing an order over $150 in my online store (single or combined with friends), by joining my Online VIP Club and you can also get hostess stamp sets with my Frequent Buyer Point Program. In addition to these, you can win the Tranquil Tulips stamp set one of my live streams today (Youtube or Facebook). If you don't have the Tranquil Tulips Hostess Stamp set, the Bunch of Blossoms Stamp Set is a great substitution. Bunch of Blossoms set isn't retiring, so it will be available in the new catalog that comes out in June (in case you're watching this after Tranquil Tulips retires, or weren't able to get it in time).

RETIRING: Always Have, Always Will Card from Love You Still Stamps

CARD

"Loved you yesterday, love you still, always have, always will" card from the retiring Stampin Up Love You Still stamp set. Also featuring retiring: Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper, Lots of Labels dies and Peakaboo Peach (so sad).

RETIRING: I’d be Love Without You Card from Blooms & Wishes Stamps

CARD

"I would be lost without you" card from the retiring Stampin Up Blooms & Wishes stamp set. Also featuring retiring colors: Rose Red & Wild Wasabi and Pool Party Ribbon and the doily. The words are heat embossed in gold of Wood Textures designer paper.

ONLINE CLASS: 8 Card Mega Class and alternate Paper Pumpkin Set and more

2 CARD SETS

Today's online class is a "mega class" we'll be creating 2 sets of 4 cards each, for a total of 8 cards in 1 class! Wowzers! We'll be playing with the retiring Stampin Up Petal Garden DSP, and (sold out) March Paper Pumpkin "May Good Things Grow" card kit to create these beautiful and fun cards. We'll be doing some fun techniques, such as using patterned paper for focal points on the card, working with wood embellishments, and background impressions. I've also included some bonus alternate card ideas below from Stampin Up.   SUBSTITUTIONS TO THE MARCH KIT I wanted to include some ideas for a fun "alternate to my alternate" projects with the March kit because it sold out and we can't purchase refills. This kit was so super popular. The retiring Petal Garden Designer Series Paper and Petal Garden Memories & More Kits were perfect substitutions to the kit. I   WOOD EMBELLISHMENTS The March "May Good Things Grow" Paper Pumpkin Card Kit was a special 5 year anniversary edition of Paper Pumpkin. It came in this special box, with a special gift of a package of these awesome free Wood Embellishments to play with. They are comparable to our (retiring) Touches of Nature wood embellishments that are in the catalog. A few of you were new to this type of accessory and had asked how to use them. I've used them several different ways on these 2 card sets. I love them plain, and customized. See the video for more details on how to use these fun embellishments. Be sure to stock up on the Touches of Nature wood embellishments before they go extinct.

RETIRING: Rawr Dinosaur Card from the No Bones About Stamps

CARD

"Rawr means you're an awesome dinosaur, have a dino-riffic birthday" card from the retiring Stampin Up No Bones About It stamp set. Also featuring Marina Mist which will soon be discontinued (I'm very sad about this, love this color). The Burlap ribbon is also retiring. Also features Stitched Shapes dies, and the Triple Banner Punch.

RETIRING: Happily Ever After from the Love You Still Stamps

CARD

This is a gorgeous card created with the retiring Stampin Up Petal Garden Designer Series Paper and retiring Sweet Soiree Embellishment kit. A fun alternate use for the designer paper is to cut out the flowers and use them as the focal point of the card.
