The "dryer sheet" technique is one of my most popular videos ever (click here or scroll below). It is so easy and beautiful, I used it again to create this swap card for Stampin' Up Leadership in Houston a couple of weeks ago.
Along with the dryer sheet technique, I used the Woodgrain impressions folder for the background and rubbed white craft ink over the top "direct to paper".

Eat your heart out with today's Valentine's Day card video. Very cool card created using one of Stampin Up's new photopolymer "clear" stamp sets called Countless Sayings II. I had some fun trying to pronounce that word - photopolymer lol. The Heart Framelit dies create this heart "pop" effect, and the new Gold Foil Vellum finishes the card off with a WOW.

Stampin Up Leadership Event Recap and Videos

Last week I was blessed to be able to attend Stampin Up's annual Leadership event that took place in Houston, TX. What an amazing time. It was so amazing to have Shelli Gardner (CEO and Co-Founder) with us after her horrible accident last year. She received a standing ovation!
That kicked the event off with a bang. Right off, they played a highlights video and interview from my trip to the Home Office in Riverton, UT in November when I hit the Million Dollar sales (See below). My Mom had gone with me on the trip, and neither of us had seen the video, it was very emotional and we were both bawling. Then Shelli called me up on stage, OMG! I was so unprepared for that, here I am crying, and I had brought an outfit thinking they would do this later in the event (not the first day) I was wearing jeans and everything.
That night was the annual Stampin Up Manager's Reception at the Houston Aquarium! It was one of the best ever! We pet and fed stingrays, ate lots, and rode rides. My show fell off on the ride that shoots you up in the sky, then drops you (dang it!). There some amazing fish tanks there, and this one particular Goliath Grouper fish and I were taking a selfie when we were "photobombed" by a tank diver...intentionally!! Funniest picture EVER! The best part was the tank diver giving me the Robert Dinero "I'm watching you" fingers to the eyes sign from the tank after hahaha.
The best part of the trip was spending time with my Stamp It group of friends. We are spread all over the country, and talk on Facebook daily, but stampin events are often the only time we get to see each other and hang out. We had so much fun! Another highlight was having dinner with Shelli & Sterling, Rich Jutkins, Chad Richards, Pam Morgan, Dave Baugh and my mom. My mom and Shelli split a meal, they are BFFs now, in fact I'm pretty sure Shelli adopted my mom and is now my big sister hahaha. Good times!

So excited this HUGE basket of goodies has arrived at my house (in 2 huge boxes) and I can't wait to open it all. - Stampin Up gave me the entire Occasions catalog for achieving a Million Dollars in sales...WOWOWOW!! Of course I had bought a bunch of things from that catalog because it is AWESOME and I didn't know, so now I have duplicates...what to do, what to do...I think I am going to spread the love and give a lot of these duplicate goodies away to my Demonstrator Group as incentives (stay tuned for more gang)!!

Super cool Starburst framelits die is layered around the 2-1/2" Circle punch for the greeting. The designer paper is new also, called Retro Fresh. The colors are wonderful together. Here's a beautiful "outside the box" card from the new Blessed Easter stamp in the Stampin Up Occasions catalog. Instead of Easter, my friend Linda Bauwin made this as a sympathy card. I love the colors and cool look she gave it with the stampin write markers.

Video: New Tag Topper Punches

Learn how to make tags of any length with just one punch. Most tag punches punch out the entire tag, so you're limited to one size. Now there's a tool that punches out just the top of a tag so you can choose how long you want your tag to be. It also punches out the hole for a tassel or thread so you don't have to do it separately.

CARD: Giggle Greetings Tail Chasing Dog

This stamp set totally cracks me up, it's so funny! I love this doggy chasing his tail and it says "You did it! now go chase your dream...or your tail or whatever ..." hahaha! I made this with some friends last weekend. Colored the dog with daffodil delight, pumpkin pie and early espresso stampin write markers.
The textured background is called "Decorative Dots" #133520 a "sneak peek" of an upcoming Impressions Folder that you will be able to earn free during Stampin' Up!'s Sale a Bration which begins January 26. As demonstrators we get to earn SAB products early...score! Just one more reason I love being a demonstrator.
VIDEO: Someone Special Valentines Day Candy Bar

Happy New Years Day! Ringing in 2014 with a candy bar for that someone special. I love candy bar gifts, you can give them alone, or turn that gift card gift into something special when you attach it to the back. I made these with full size Hershey bar (shown with a Symphony bar with almonds). Any candy bar will work, in the video I'll show you how to figure out what size to cut your card stock. The designer paper is from Stampin up's Modern Medley and the tag is from the Chalk Talk framelit and stamp set.

Beautiful Valentines day card I made with some friends this weekend. We used the Hearts a Flutter framelits and the Stampin Up red glimmer paper for the heart, and the gold foil paper in the Holiday catalog with the Expressions thinlit for the "love". The background texture is called Decorative Dots and it's a brand new Impressions Folder that will be coming out for Sale-a-bration which begins January 28, 2013. You can earn it free!
As I was making this card, I realized this Expressions Thinlit "Love" is in the Holiday Catalog that is ending on Friday! The Expressions Thinlits won't be available after Jan 3, 2013.
