If you love handmade cards that make a statement the moment they’re opened, this Fabulous Sayings Slimline Card is going to be right up your alley. I created this project using the Stampin’ Up! Fabulous Sayings Stamp Set and paired it with the eye-catching Splash of Sparkles Specialty Paper for a rainbow foil effect that truly shines. The result is a modern, elegant card that looks impressive—but is still very doable, even if you’re newer to card making.
Slimline cards are one of my favorite formats because they feel a little extra special while still being practical. This longer card style gives you more room to play with layers, designer paper, and sentiments. In this case, the black card base helps the colorful foil paper pop, while the gold-embossed sentiment adds a polished, professional finish.
Why This Slimline Card Works So Well
One of the best things about this card design is how versatile it is. Although I created this one as a birthday card, the Fabulous Sayings Stamp Set includes greetings for friendship, encouragement, thank you, and everyday occasions.
