2 Wow Card Techniques You Will Love
I had so much fun creating these two WOW Slimline cards using the stunning Stampin’ Up! Extraordinary Flora Bundle and matching Washi Tape. These coordinating products make it so easy to craft elegant, detailed cards that feel like works of art—without any guesswork! The stamp set, dies, and washi tape all align beautifully, and together they make a powerhouse trio.
For this month’s VIP Club class, I wanted to explore fun and unique ways to use washi tape, and these two card techniques were the perfect fit. Whether you’re a new paper crafter or a seasoned stamper, these cards are sure to spark inspiration.
Card 1: Frosted Window Slimline Card
For the first card, I used the Frosted Window Technique.
I adhered the Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape directly onto a Window Sheet to create a semi-transparent look that adds depth and dimension.
When layered over a background, it creates a soft, dreamy “frosted glass” effect that’s hard to stop staring at!
Card 2: Eclipse Technique Slimline Card
The second card features the Eclipse Technique, which is one of my all-time favorites!
What is an Eclipse card? It’s when you die cut a word or image directly from a stamped or patterned panel, then pop those letters back up in the same spot using dimensionals or Foam Strips.
The result is a subtle, raised word (in this case, “LOVE” with the Party Alphabet Dies) that blends beautifully into the background, giving it an elegant 3D shadowed effect.
