Handmade Card Tutorial with the Floral Impressions Suite

Hi friends! I’m so excited to share today’s handmade card tutorial featuring the brand new Stampin’ Up! Floral Impressions Suite. This suite was just released and it is absolutely stunning—filled with vibrant colors, floral elegance, and versatile patterns that are perfect for crafting everything from thank-you cards to special occasion keepsakes.

Whether you’re brand new to card making or a seasoned stamper, these cards are fun, easy to make, and sure to wow!

Slimline Rainbow Floral Card

Let’s talk about this slimline card! I fell in love with the rainbow floral pattern in the Floral Impressions Designer Series Paper and knew it had to take center stage. However, since slimline cards require a different size than traditional layers, I got creative with my paper cutting to preserve the rainbow flow across the design.

I’ve included photos and step-by-step tips in the tutorial below so you can see exactly how I did it. These slimline cards don’t fit in standard A2 envelopes, but no worries—they slide perfectly into a regular business-sized envelope.

Sunflower Card with Textured Background

Next up is the sunflower card—another favorite from this suite! I carefully fussy cut the sunflower blooms right from the designer paper, including those partial edge flowers (because no flower gets left behind!).

They pop beautifully against a Pool Party background that I embossed with the Pressed Flowers Embossing Folder to add texture and depth. This card is a standard size and fits easily into a regular envelope.
