ONLINE CLASS & VIDEO: Fun techniques featuring the Fortunate to Know You Stamp Set

CARD SET

So exciting to be able to play with new toys and it isn’t even Christmas …. yet. On today’s online class I’ll be using the new Stampin Up Fortunate to Know You “Fortune Cookie” stamp set to create these set of super stinkin’ cute birthday cards. This set will be coming out in the new 2018 Occasions Catalog (available now from Demonstrators and Jan 3 for customers). We’ll be doing several fun techniques on these cards.

Techniques include:

  • Stampin’ Blends blending & Shading
  • Masking
  • Background Sponging

Speaking of Christmas, I will be taking some time off next week to visit with family and spend some time with my son who’s home from college. I don’t have any scheduled live videos during the week. Linda and I will be back on December 30 with a live card swap from the new catalogs. Happy Holidays!

INK PAD OOPS FIX

I originally designed these cards for a card swap. While creating my swaps, I accidentally stamped the fortune cookie in black ink, and then in my Daffodil Delight ink pad. Ooops!

This is an easy fix if it ever happens to you. I simply blotted the yellow pad with paper towels to remove some of the ink, then reinked it with the Daffodil Delight refill. It will have this awesome “tattoo”, but it doesn’t harm the pad.

I will be live at noon today on my Facebook Page demonstrating these cool techniques. If you miss the live broadcast, you can catch the replay below (or on my Facebook & Youtube). Download the free pdf below, for measurements and the supplies list.

I am in the thick of making Valentines for the hospitalized kids project and had never even thought about this set. I will be ordering it and making some Valentines since it looks like a fun way of using the blends and just plain fun to color. I can always make up a different fortune for the occasion. We can’t use any real embelishments such as ribbons, sequins or even any glitter stuff so this is perfect! Thanks Tami!
