CARD: Forever Young Tree

forever young-patty chenailThis beautiful card was created with the Forever Young stamp set. The name of this set just makes me want to break out in the Rod Stewart song by the same name. The silhouette image of the tree with the little girl swinging from a branch has always appealed to me. It just makes me smile. In my mind I see her swinging while the songs plays on.

On this card, the image is embossed with black embossing powder to really make it stand out. Then a light spritzing with the Color Spritzer and black marker for the "splattered" background on the main layer. Designed by Patty Chenail.

CARD: Serene Silhouettes Spritzed

serene silhouettes-krista frattinHappy Cinco de Mayo! Today's card offers some fun with the Color Spritzer Tool #107066. This is what gives the "splatter" effect which is so cool, and it offers a "vintage" look on this card. It's very hard to see in the pictures, but this card is also spritzed with the White Shimmer mist and rubbing Alcohol mix that makes it shimmer, it's subtle and very pretty. Designed by Krista Frattin.

CARD: Make a Wish Party Invitation

spring-secret gardenThis party invitation card uses the Dress Form base for it's shape, I LOVE it! This was a "special" invitation I received earlier this year for a Stampin' Up! Advisory Board Alumni luncheon. I love that they used the "Make a Wish" stamp set in this card, it reminds me of several wishes that have come true....1 of these was serving on the 2007 Advisory Board for the company!

Another wish, or dream come true, was going to Fiji with Stampin' Up! Today is my last day in Fiji, I'll be heading on to New Zealand tomorrow. I will be posting updates as I can on my Facebook Page.

CARD: By the Sea Card

spring-by the tide-noneContinuing on a beach theme, this card comes from the By the Sea stamp set. The background incorporates some sponging and then is sprayed with shimmer mist to make it sparkle. This shimmer mist doesn't come out well in the photo. You can see a video tutorial on how to make Shimmer Mist using our Champagne Shimmer paint here >.

The shells and starfish are embossed with Espresso emboss powder.
