VIDEO TUTORIAL: Bunny & Chickie Boxes

Posted on March 30th, 2010, 7 responses.

bunny-and-chickie-boxAre you ready for super stinkin’ cuteness?! Join me for today’s video, created while I was preparing for Easter this weekend making these adorable box buddies. The Bunny and Chickie boxes are made from the Big Shot Top Note die and Fancy Favor Box Die. You could also use these cuties on a card, over a goody bag, as a tag, place setting or just about anything! So versitile, and great for spring, beyond Easter. The bunny box was inspired by my friend BJ Peters. BJ is a mastermind with the big shot, and is doing a presentation at this years Demo Extravaganza called “Supersize Your Big Shot” (click here for more info).

I’m back and Cheers to you!

    Posted on March 23rd, 2010, 5 responses.

cheers-to-youI just returned late last night from a great trip to visit family in the Florida Keys. I thought it seemed only appropriate to share a fun sunny card with tropical drinks on it hehehe. The is from the Cheers to You stamp set (114944), love the Margaritta, pina colada, martini, smoothie…just about any fun drink. These were colored with Stampin’ write markers, then used Crystal Effects over the drinks to make them glossy and pop right off the card (hard to see that part in the photo).

This is a picture of my Dad and I, we took the boat out to an island off the coast of Key West one day. It was fabulous! I got a really bad sunburn, and am still a little sore from it. It sure is good to be home. I will be sending out my weekly newsletter later today. Lots happening in stamping world!

club-card-1-chocolate-bunnyI am so in love with this card and ribbon technique, the chocolate bunny is just the cutest dang stamp. We made this for my March stamp club, and although most of the stamp club projects are exclusive to the club, this one I’m sharing on the public blog for you. Complete with instruction sheet (which is another bonus perk exclusive to the club).

It’s a complete kit in a box, including 4 pc stamp set, ink pads, card stock, aqua painter, adhesive and envelopes. It’s fabulous and perfect for that beginner stamper. My friend Mary Policn went outside the box and took the 4 pc stamp set to a whole new level with these incredibly gorgeous cards. She is super talented! These were a class she held. I’ll be posting a few more samples tomorrow.

    You rock! Extreme Guitar Card

You Rock! I love the extreme stamp collection: Extreme Dirt Bike, Extreme Snowboard, Extreme Surfboard, Extreme Skateboardand this one Extreme Guitar. They are cool silhouettes that have so much potential. This card was created by Debbie Naylor, she also used the Extreme Elements Stamp set(115181). She stamped the splatter stamp from that set in yellow, then rolled in red (rock and roll technique) to create the cool background behind the guitar (stamped in black). The You Rock comes from the Just Jawing stamp set (111660).

The “Extreme Collection” of stamps are available for individual purchase, or you can earn them free during Sale a Bration (ends March 31, 2010).

    More Magic! Bloomin’ Beautiful

Posted on March 13th, 2010, one response.

bloomin-beautiful-3Today’s project was inspired by the “Magic Monkey” from last month. Originally, I had created the Sock Monkey Magic card for my demonstrator group meeting. We were going to make him, then we had a bad snow storm and the meeting was canceled.

sock-monkey-magicduoThey have been so excited about the magic card, we had to make another one for one of our projects at this month’s demo meeting so they could each have their own. I designed this on exactly the same template as Magic Monkey, and used the Bloomin’ Beautiful stamp set (111490). We colored with the Stampin Write Markers (don’t miss my marker share, click here). Everything with Bloomin’ Beautiful is gorgeous, and the magic card has that incredible WOW factor, when you pull the tab the flowers magically turn into color.

Surprise fun! Team Stamp It meeting pictures

Posted on March 11th, 2010, no responses.

    meeting1

Last night we had our Team Stamp It demonstrator meeting. This meeting was mostly fun, I had a couple of really cool projects to make, and the gals brought some incredible shares and swaps! Some I’ll share here, some I’ll share later.

I had gone through my display boards of cards samples (hundreds) and had a big box out for the gals to take them. I told them if the box was empty at the end of the night, I’d raffle off a stamp set. Wouldn’t you know it, that box was wiped clean! So I raffled off Asian Artistry and Country Morning hostess stamp sets - Congrats to Linda Cullen and Lynn Coffman!

    stationary

I taught an MDS (My Digital Studio) project session, and we learned a new trick. Surprise! I whipped out a hidden package and gave all the gals their very own pack of stationary created with MDS!! Complete with their own name on it. They were pretty surprised! That was so much fun. I have instructions on how to make this stationary here >

I love these gatherings, I look forwar to it all month!

Today’s lesson is how to create these gorgeous boxes using the new Mini Project box downloads from Stampin Up. You don’t even need the My Digital Studio program to make these stinkin’ cool boxes, just the download from my store. Simply print off my instruction sheet, download the templates and you’re on your way!mds-box4-sweet-pea2

The instruction sheet gives step by step instructions on how to use and print your template on the computer (both My Digital Studio and MS Word instructions). Then the video demonstrates how easy it is to put your box together, once you’ve printed. We’ll also be using the Fabulous Beautiful Butterflies Embosslit in the Big Shot to make the amazing, shimmery butterflies.
