VIDEO TUTORIAL: Lucky Charms Shamrock

Posted on February 26th, 2010, 7 responses.

lucky-charms-tami-whiteToday’s video is inspired by my kid’s favorite breakfast cereal….Lucky Charms! I just kept thinking “pink hearts, yellow moons, great clovers…” while I was stamping it. The shamrock is another fun use for the large heart punch you bought for Valentine’s day (didn’t know it was so versatile did ya?). This would not only make a great St. Patrick’s Day card, it’s perfect to wish someone good luck on an upcoming event.

With the versatility of the Define Your Life stamp set (see image below), you can change the “lucky” definition to any of these stamps and change the occasion of the card for just about anything. You can purchase the Define You Life set thru my online store, or get it free as a bonus in the Demo Kit special going on now thru March 31

This one goes out to all of the Nintendo fans! I’ve invited the incredibly talented Michelle Fisher to guest blog today, Michelle is a mulitple Stampin Up Artisan Award winner, and after seeing these projects made with SU punches and paper, you’ll know why. Check out these AWESOME “Mario Brothers Birthday” projects…

    From Michelle -

“My son wanted a Mario theme birthday party for his 6th B-day. Of course, at the last minute I could not find any Super Mario Birthday supplies or goodies anywhere! So I tried talking him into a GI Joe Birthday but he insisted Mario was his very very favorite, I knew that this would be a challenge!……………… what a week but we did it!-he even helped too!”

This wedding invitation is simple, striking and gorgeous! It’s a fabulous combination of the Stampin Up Groom Specialty paper (116478) & Guest Book simply scrappin kit (115697). The invitation folds down, revealing a folder which holds the response card. card stock is basic black, and very vanilla. There is an elegant belly band that wraps around the front. This was created by Melissa Stout.

Cyber Wedding Expo: Invitations - Part 9

Posted on February 14th, 2010, no responses.

wedding-janet-wakeland-1Some people what a lifetime, for a moment like this…
This wedding invitation is stunning! The swirl & strip sheen from the Stampin Up Bridesmaid card stock (116479) is striking. The front words are printed on vellum card stock. The inside, RSVP and Reception cards are printed on Very Vanilla.

The inner “V” shaped holder holding the RSVP & Reception cards was created with the Pennant (113483) Big Shot die! It completes this amazing sample, I don’t think the photo shows it’s beauty enough. This was designed by my friend Janet Wakeland.

    VIDEO TUTORIAL: Sock Monkey Magic

    Posted on February 12th, 2010, 9 responses.

sock-monkey-magicduoSecrets of magic revealed! No, I won’t be wearing a mask, I’ll just keep my face hidden hehehe - kidding (not really) but I don’t think David Copperfield will be coming after me for revealing this secret. This technique definitely falls under “cards that make you go…WOW!” It looks like an innocent “stinkin’ cute” sock monkey at first glance, then SURPRISE! Pull up the tab and Sock Monkey changes color…like magic.

Check out today’s 2 part video series below, and learn how to create some magic…with the magic card! The first video shows how to create the magic card, I’ve also created a template for you as a bonus! The second video demonstrates how to use the Many Marvelous Markers to blend and shade for dimension.

Love Bots - Great kids party thank yous and favors

    Posted on February 11th, 2010, 2 responses.

valentinesFor Valentine’s this year, I got the new Love Bots in the Occasions Mini Catalog for my son. He was so excited, he actually put them all together himself yesterday. It was the cutest thing, and they were so easy my 9 year old made them all. We filled them with cute mini bubble stuff and erasers (his school doesn’t allow candy treats) but candy would’ve worked perfectly.

    valentine1

I thought these little boxes not only made great Valentine’s, they also make great kids birthday party thank you and favor boxes. Quick and easy.

p21032321 Thanks for all of your wonderful notes and comments on the wedding samples I’ve been sharing. I’m so thrilled you’ve enjoyed them, it seems like everyone knows someone who is getting married! I love it.

Today’s invitation comes from Audra Moncur, it’s an elegant and simple tri-fold deisgn. The ribbon is a band around the left side, it pulls off to open. The stamp sets are: Wedding Sweet (115466) and Forever Flowers Stampin Around Wheel (111252) in Chocolate Chip ink (and accents). The card base is kraft naturals card stock, and the striped accent strip comes from the Bridesmaid Specialty paper (116479). The Wide Oval (112082) & Designer Label (107590) punches were used for the front accent.
