Team Stamp It Shoebox Swapping

2010-04demomtg4Swapping shoeboxes? Really? No not really, we're not swapping the actual shoebox but what's inside of it hehehe! A "Shoebox swap" is the name of a fun stamping event where a group of us design a project, put all of the supplies in a shoebox and go and make everyone else's projects. Some of my local demonstrators and I got together Wednesday night and stamped "shoebox swap" style and we had soooo much fun. It was awesome. I promise to share some of the super cool projects the gals designed.

Many of my team live in other states and couldn't make the event, so we're also doing a mail in swap. For more information on how to join my group, click here >.

VIDEO TUTORIAL: Awash with Flowers Masking

awash-with-flowers1 I can't get enough of this gorgeous Awash with flowers stamp set. Everything just turns out beautifully! My club theme for April was "gorgeous cards in under 5 minutes" and this was one of our cards. The inspiration is from the awe inspiring Jan Tink. The video tutorial shows how easy the 2-step style is to do, and also how to mask to create the look of layered flowers in the garden.

Cyber Wedding Expo: Digital Wedding Cards – Part 12

ciaf-mds-mar10-mdjjI still have lots more samples coming in my Cyber Wedding Expo series, today's focus is on digital wedding cards. Adjust the greetings to the bride and groom's names for invitations, or use as shown for congratulatory cards. These were created using My Digital Studio software. The beauty of using MDS for wedding invitations, or any cards is being able to plan your colors/design on the computer before printing. Use Stampin Up's professional printing service for high quality professional printing, or create "hybrid" cards by printing on your own computer at home and adding ribbon and embellishments. Card created by my friends at CIAF. Thanks Debbie!

I’m back and Cheers to you!

cheers-to-youI just returned late last night from a great trip to visit family in the Florida Keys. I thought it seemed only appropriate to share a fun sunny card with tropical drinks on it hehehe. The is from the Cheers to You stamp set (114944), love the Margaritta, pina colada, martini, smoothie...just about any fun drink. These were colored with Stampin' write markers, then used Crystal Effects over the drinks to make them glossy and pop right off the card (hard to see that part in the photo).

VIDEO TUTORIAL: Chocolate Bunny

club-card-1-chocolate-bunnyI am so in love with this card and ribbon technique, the chocolate bunny is just the cutest dang stamp. We made this for my March stamp club, and although most of the stamp club projects are exclusive to the club, this one I'm sharing on the public blog for you. Complete with instruction sheet (which is another bonus perk exclusive to the club).

You rock! Extreme Guitar Card

guitar You Rock! I love the extreme stamp collection: Extreme Dirt Bike, Extreme Snowboard, Extreme Surfboard, Extreme Skateboard and this one Extreme Guitar. They are cool silohettes that have so much potential. This card was created by Debbie Naylor, she also used the Extreme Elements Stamp set (115181). She stamped the splatter stamp from that set in yallow, then rolled in red (rock and roll technique) to create the cool background behind the guitar (stamped in black). The You Rock comes from the Just Jawing stamp set (111660).

VIDEO TUTORIAL: “Trading Cases” Sunflower Sweet Treats

black-eye-susan-case3"Trading Cases" Stampin style! In the crafting world, we have an acronym called "CASE" it stands for "Copy and Share Everything". CASEing is what enables many of us who aren't naturally "gifted" with the creativity "gene" to feel like we are "queens of cuteness" (quote from Cheryl H.). Recently my friend Mary Fish and I had a bout of project envy. Project Envy = drooling over each other's creations (happens a lot, you may suffer from this too). So how does one cure "project envy"? black-eye-susan-caseOne CASES of course! Warning: CASEing causes excitement, pride and extreme satisfaction.
