Paisley Prints leaf card for Fall

paisley-prints-sharon-mackinnonPaisley Prints is a great new stamp set (120817 wood, 121121 clear mount) that was introduced in the Holiday Mini Catalog. I love the cool style of the paisley inside the images of the tree, heart, pumpkin and leaf. This first card was created by Sharon MacKinnon, she stamped in Cherry Cobler, Delightful Daffodil and Always Artichoke for this great fall card. Below is a gallery of Paisley Prints displays from Stampin' Up's convention this past July (demonstrators got this set free for attending!).

VIDEO TUTORIAL: Extreme Rock Star

rock-star-tami-whiteBe a Rock Star or just stamp like one! Whether it's for your Guitar Hero, or just for fun, you'll flip over this cool card using Stampin' Up!'s Extreme Guitar stamp. The silohette style and white outline just make this rocker jump off the card at you (no not literally) more like an ipod ad. Designed by Holly Crawford.

Spider Web fun for Halloween

fang-tastic-kathi-rotti My 2 newest staples in my Stampin' Up! collection are the new Bitty Bat Punch (119279) and the new Spider Web textured impressions folder (120889) for the Big Shot! I am in love with these. Today's post is a focus on the spider web, see it in action in my Spiderman Video > The first card shown here was designed by Kathie Rotti, she used Iridescent Ice emboss powder on the web and coupled it with the super stinkin' cute Fang-tastic stamp set (120853 wood, 121178 clear mount) in the Holiday Mini Catalog. The 2nd card was designed by Cheryl Campbell. Cheryl used the spider from the Dark & Dreary stamp set (120837 wood, 121151 clear mount).

Halloween Swaps from Demo Meeting

wicked-cool I love making Halloween decorations, they are so much fun. At my last demonstrator meeting, Tami Morkan shared some of her convention swaps. VIDEO TUTORIAL: Batman Box & Card – 100th Video!

batman-box-style-1I'm very excited to be presenting my 100th YouTube Video Tutorial!! WAHOO!! This Batman Chocolate Matchbox treat holder was inspired by one of my favorite roller coasters...Batman The Dark Knight. Originally, I'd made the blue box and matching card. Was stamping with the kids and friends, and my friend Shayna designed the black box with the spotlight and we just about flipped out over it. That become the new winner of the 100th Video, and it tops the stinkin' cute-o-meter! A quick and easy project for the Batman fan in your life, using my favorite new punch the Bat Punch and the Matchbox die for the Big Shot. As you'll see, not only is the box fun, I had a blast making this video, from my son's Batman mood ring to some special effects (including my own Batman sound effects for the big shot hehehe).

Win It In a Minute – SU Game Show

bg4 Every year at the Stampin' Up Annual Convention, there is a game show. It is always funny, and this year was not a disappointment. This year's game show was called "Win It In a Minute", an SU version of the popular game show "Minute to Win It". Instead of choosing random participants from the attendees this year there was a "qualifying" cup stacking game at the Flower Power party. My friends Cheryl and BJ wanted to play the cup stacking game, so I headed over with them, not realizing we were "qualifying" for anything. I thought we were just playing a game. After we each went, the gal at the booth wrote down our times and mine was the lowest on the sheet (granted there were only 10 names on the sheet at the time).

My Digital Studio Scrapbooking

tami-waddell1Here are some super cool My Digital Studio (MDS) scrapbook page layouts from another Tami W., my up-up-line Tami Waddell. She is really great with digital layouts, and she gave me her permission to share a couple she did of her family. This first page she used the stamp set World Tour Brush Set (#119103 - $3.95) & Rough Type Alphabet stamp brush (#121066 - $9.95).

A present from Dawn! Vroom Vroom

tami-dawn-convention-2010My friend Dawn Griffith's recently became a "Harley Mama" when her hubby got a new Harley Davidson motorcycle. I got my new Harley the week before convention, and she brought me this shirt from the Harley shop in Michigan!! THANKS DAWN!!! Here's a picture of the two of us "Biker Babes", I love this picture. What you can't see is my formal gown under the shirt...should've put it on for the total "Cyndi Lauper" style effect hehehe.

Convention, fun and friendships!

conventionHere are some more pictures from our trip to Salt Lake City, Ut last week for Stampin' Up!'s Annual Convention. One of the best, most cherished, things Stampin Up has brought to my life is new friends. Both in my customers, the demonstrators in my group (that span from coast to coast now) and also in the awesome women I've met at all of the Stampin' Up events who have now become some of my best friends!

dale-and-tami-flower-powerWe had a huge "Flower Power" party at Stampin' Up!'s conventionin Salt Lake City this past week, what fun this was!! Almost everyone (but me) was dressed in "groovy garb" and it was just hilarious! The photo in the center of the collage below is of Stampin' Up!'s Corporate Team, they all were all Groovy and Hilarious!! The picture to the right is of my self and Dale Fillmore (President of Stampin Up), and if you look below you can see him with his long black haired wig with my girls (sooooo funny).

#2 Demonstrator of the Year! THANK YOU!

stamp-itWOW!!!! I just got back from Stampin' Up!'s Annual Conventionin Salt Lake City, UT, what an amazing event. I have sooo much news, ideas and more to share with you this blog will be rockin' over the next few weeks with cool new convention ideas! One of the biggest highlights for me from convention was the annual Stampin' Up! Awards night. This photo to the right is of a few of the demos in my group (including my mom). They are the BEST! Upon check in I was surprised with a "Founders Circle" bag, which meant that I would be awarded a spot in the top 100 demonstrators of the company, and am invited to the annual Founder's Circle retreat. That's all I knew, I could have been anywhere from 100 to 1. I was shocked and shaking when they announced I had earned: Stampin' Up's #2 DEMONSTRATOR OF THE YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Artistic Etchings Newsprint

artistic-etchings-no-name This simple, vintage Artistic Etchings (118517 wood, 102573 clear mount) card also used the new Newsprint Designer Series paper (117166) and the new Vintage Wallpaper impressions folder (120175). A little sponging with cherry cobbler on the edges, and a spritz gives this card the perfect amount of "vintage".
